//rolls into the bandwagon w/ my opinions whups//
Extraordinary Animation/Plot:
Death Parade; It has beautiful animation, and the plot is brilliant. The way it handles and portrays human emotion is extremely realistic. It's an interesting take on life/death, and it manages to show how the tiniest things, like losing in a game, can make someone go mad with rage.

Honorable mentions; Akatsuki No Yona, Parasyte, Nanatsu No Taizai, Code:Breaker, Noragami, Ao No Exorcist. These are in no particular order, but all of them either had great plot and/or animation.

Most Questionable Ending Opening theme:
(I don't generally watch the endings unless I have time ;3; )
Again, Death Parade; It's opening theme is extremely upbeat, and very misleading considering the anime is actually dark. The opening itself contains some pretty unnoticable hints towards the anime itself, some of which I didn't notice until someone pointed them out, despite watching it over and over >3>'''' It's extremely catchy. I watched the official music video, and I'm pretty sure that the singers were on something because I have no idea what was going on in it :'D

Bad But Entertaining:
Sword Art Online; The first half of it was so/so, but after they beat SAO, it just didn't work. It became a pointless harem, and it also repeats itself quite a bit.. It's similar to the .hack series, which in my opinion is better but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

//double backflips onto bandwagon

or the sake of having to type less i'm going to leave out most frequently mentioned shows and all shows that are currently running

best art:
mononoke- ((not princess mononoke, just mononoke)) before i even mention art let me just say that you should watch this. mononoke has 12 episodes and 5 arcs, each of which tell a different story. the story gets confusing at times and the show is very "japanese" (as opposed to modern setting anime that doesn't draw upon old lore, myths, or other references), so it may require a little researching from non-natives in order to understand everything. regardless of this, the plot is amazing.
anyway the best part of the show is, in my opinion, the art style. i will say that it is very different, but it's so beautiful. please just look at this art (and that's only what i can find on google, there's so much good art. the gif in my sig is also from the show).

tsuritama- i'll skip story details bc i'm sure a lot of you have seen this. the art is just really bright and cute and i love the colorful style so much omg. it supports the usually bright, cheerful tones of the show extremely well and is just nice to look at in general ((also character designs are a+)).

best story:
mononoke- already described. watch it

hxh- too much to describe. watch it

tokyo magnitude 8.0- another lesser known one, or at least i think so. the art of tokyo magnitude 8.0 is pretty bland, it's not much of an eyecatcher. however, the story is really amazing and portrays human emotions very realistically. some people may get bored with it, but it's really very good and is one of like three anime to have ever made me cry.

higurashi no naku koro ni/kai- together, higurashi and higurashi kai (the second season of sorts) made one of the best anime i've ever watched. like some of the others the art is really iffy, but the story is incredible. it's definitely the best horror anime i've ever watched, because the plot is unlike that of any others of its time. you should watch this if you haven't tbh

general faves:
naruto- gateway anime what can u do

neon genesis evangelion- this could also be put in best story for me tbh. the original series has quite a few flaws, but many of these were addressed in the rebuild movies. nge is really just a fav of mine and that's all i can say about it in the limited time i have to type this sorry

pmmm- ngl the art of pmmm is pretty frickin rough but the story and characters are fantastic. who doesn't love space lesbians

inuyasha- "inuYASHAAA" "KAGOMEEEE"

zankyou no terror- most people have watched this show so most people will know why i'd put it here. it's some good stuff

utapri- i like singing boys what more do u want

good and entertaining
every sports anime i've watched- includes kuroko no basket, free: iwatobi swim club, haikyuu, and yowapeda. they're all great and i love them but to be brutally honest none of them are anything special. they all have the same basic idea, just with different sports, so i can't put them in the "best story" section or whatever.

another- it had some plot holes, it had some problems, some of the characters were kinda eeeh. however, the story is overall pretty good and the animation is very nice. i liked watching it, though a few parts bored me.

bad but entertaining:
highschool of the dead- was this even entertaining tbh. there is fanservice in every other frame, the story isn't really that good, and there is just a lot of fanservice. but i guess it's worth a watch if you have literally nothing else to watch.

sao- u know why

mirai nikki- yeah idk about this one, it was def entertaining but it really wasn't that good. there are a lot of holes and flaws and the art is only average, but it kept me satisfied for the week i watched it in.

mm!- i don't even know why i watched this but i did and it was an experience

most overrated:
attack on titan- it's good but it's not that good let's be honest

i don't have much time to write a bunch but i'll try to include the most notable from each category (and i'll probably come back to this once i'm done with class so i can add more)

omg I so agree

I feel like no one knows about Mononoke? Like I never see anyone mention it anywhere. But I agree with you 1000000% - the art is completely amazing, visually it's one of my fav anime to watch just because it's so vibrant and rich and different.

Tsuritama is my fav anime ever, so I may be biased lol, but the art in that is also great too. The artists used colors SO cleverly. I love the palettes they chose. Lots of contrast and saturation. It's so wonderful gahhhh

.:Extraordinary Animation:.
Nagi no Asukara D: I mean, seriously, just search it on Google images. P.A. Works really outdid themselves here, with breathtaking underwater scenery and an equally vibrant above-water world. Seriously, I had to pause each episode several times to look at the backgrounds. I love cool-color palettes, so the effects of glowing blue, gentle ocean, and sky were pleasing on the eyes, and the animation was definitely superb. Somehow, they managed to make people look as though they naturally belonged in the ocean. When the characters dive towards their underwater home, I wish that I might be able to see something under the ocean like that [ however unfeasible it may be :b ]

.:Most Questionable Ending theme:.
Ansatsu Kyoushitsu has an ending theme that's definitely toned down from the energetic and comedic pace of the opening and the series in general. I think that, in a strange way, it kind of fits the series, but I would never have guessed such a relaxing and melancholy song would be chosen for the ending.

.:Bad But Entertaining:.
Sword Art Online. Even though once I finished I realized the show had many, many flaws, I actually enjoyed it quite a bit while I was watching it and found myself rooting for Kirito and hoping that he could have a happy life with Asuna. Upon realizing that Kirito is a Gary Sue and Asuna is just a waifu character [ I mean, you're in a death game and you max cooking skill of all things? ], I quickly came to understand that SAO is far from the best anime out there, but it was entertaining regardless.

Extraordinary Animation:
I think that Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso has amazing animations. The colors were beautiful and realistic. And the scenes they had of petals floating in the wind were so amazing omg. I love how they animated the pianist's hands as well, since it seems (to me) like something like that would be difficult ESPECIALLY if they were even pressing the correct notes for each piece. I wasn't paying attention to that when I was watching the anime though, so now I'll have to go back and watch it xD another little, minor detail that I absolutely died over was Kaori's hair. In the beginning, it was bouncy, fun, curly....just like her personality. In the end (sort of spoiler in tiny font) when she's in the hospital her hair is less wavy, and almost tired looking. Idk but that really stood out to me. I'm so weird lol. The opening and ending themes are fantastic, BTW.

Questionable Ending theme:
Hate me but...I rarely stick around for the ending theme unless I like the first 10 seconds of it. So idk lol.

Bad but Entertaining:
First one that comes to mind is probably Special A. The art in itself isn't amazing and the plot is a bit cliche. However it is one of my favorite anime's ever because I thought it was really cute and an adorable love story hehe <3 plus all of the male leads are super hot so

extraordinary animation
i would say monoke, samurai champloo, fooly cooly, and casshern sins
in monoke, the style is very unique and i enjoyed every minute of it
samurai champloo has very nice character designs, very fluid animation and is generally just very nice animation
casshern sins is rather old, but the animation is very pretty, the way the characters eyes and bodies are animated,
and the fights are very fun to watch
fooly cooly is nicely animated as a whole, the style is different from typical
anime, but it's still really cool

questionable ending theme

zetsubousei: hero chiryouyaku, from dangan ronpa the animation
*dangan ronpa spoilers below*

so, in the ending, the protagonist naegi is sitting behind a bunch of desks
but after each episode, the students who died in each episode joined him behind the desks
i just think that was clever of the animators to do
[also i just love the song]

bad but entertaining

the anatomy is downright awful but the story is rather interesting
the characters legs are longer then their torsos

Not all like the art style, but I love it, I think it fits the story.

You probably didn't watch Detective Conan, the romance takes ages XD But well, that's also part of the anime.
Moribito is also similar.
I used to be online a lot here, but I became bored of this site and I don't like some of the rules here.
Now I'm pretty busy as well. You can still try to message me though, I might be online again now and then : )

I always intend to watch so much anime and read so much manga but
it just never happens ??
something always distracts me

so anyway. out of all the anime I've watched, I didn't actually really get black rock shooter. but maybe the reason is because it was the first subbed anime I watched and so i wasn't really used to watching anime in subbed = harder to pay attention for me ((now I'm use to it))

If I watch it again I can probably make more sense of it. But I wonder if anyone else felt the same? but it was probably just me
