If the rose-greys base was chestnut the like outcomes could be something of the following list: Bay, black, chestnut, and grey over any of those bases. But thats going from what I know about genetics, and I'm not sure how much the artists follow typical genetics for WME's

Hey guys! I have a quick question for those of you who know about genetics/coat colors.

I'm thinking of a possible breeding, and I was wondering what kind of coat-color possibilities there would be for a foal between a bay and a rose grey? Other than the foal just having one of the parent's coats, what kind of "mixes" or other options would there be?

Most of the rose greys I see are bays that are in the process of greying out, but it would depend on the base coat of the rose grey parent (if you get a chance to post a link I can take a look and see what the base coat might be), but assuming the coat is a bay with a grey gene then your possibilities are:

Bay with a grey gene
bay
chestnut
chestnut with a grey gene
black with a grey gene
and black

oooh, she's pretty! It doesn't look like she has any dark points on her legs, so her base coat might be chestnut. I double checked the genetics and it looks like if she is a chestnut base your possibilities are still the same though cx

Guys, while knowing the genetics is awesome because its a rather tough subject, most of the breeding artists dont use genetic calculators to figure out base coats, ^^' they go with a general inbetween, or with what the user requests, if its possible, and the artist goes with the suggestion (:

Yes, i felt very disconnected with Alex for a long time. I started doing art of her, drawing her, writing stories, and i eventually connected. <3

I connect with all of them pretty well, but the one i connect with most would have to be Costello or Delilah.

Copper, Zax, and Ghost accept genetics, and I believe the other artists have randomly done it a few times; don't go making assumptions that they don't ^^"
