Ravenclaw's tired eyes widened as he was explained the dream, and the prophecy. "A lake cat came to you?" He gasped, starting into a wobbly pace. "That can't be good, can it? That must mean it's serious," he pondered for a moment. "Beware the cats who seem to sleep." He froze, remembering the past night. Flickergaze and Fogslip had been awake the past night, when they were supposed to be sleeping. Infact, so was Armadillotumble of Emberclan and Littlefur, the Medicine cat. Could they be behind the mysterious scents and Flameheart's death? Perhaps he was over thinking the warning.

Rainpaw

"Alright, alright," Rainpaw gathered himself, obeying and heading towards the entrance. "Sagestep's comin' too!" He meowed over his shoulder, then skidded to a halt at the thorn tunnel, waiting for the others. He glanced at Sagestep. "Have you ever assessed anyone before?" He then asked her curiously, while noticing that Tinypaw had dozed off. "Oh brother," He huffed to himself.
As he followed Flickergaze and bounced out into the forest, he dipped his head in greeting to the guards, Tallstorm and Lichenfoot, then bounded further into the trees.
"Alright," he meowed. "What do we have to do?"

Redstar

Redstar shook her head, picking her way around the nests and their occupants and turning in one of the three empty beds of moss before settling down. "This is quite alright, I don't mind. Having a view of Silverpelt is better, anyways." She told him, wrapping her tail around her nose.

Sagestep waited patiently for Tinypaw to say something. She was a little annoyed at Rainpaw. I guess it had to do with her pregnancy. That stuff always got to her, not that she'd ever had a litter of kits. This was her first one and she already regretted it. Sagestep wished she could just become a warrior again, and rewind what had happened.

She padded after Rainpaw, Tinypaw, Flametooth, and Flickergaze. Sagestep would walk behind them. She didn't really feel like she fit in with them. After all, she was expecting. Her day dreaming was awoken by Rainpaw asking her a some what personal question. " Yes, when I was a young warrior. But now I'm just a queen. Anyways, I know how it's done. Do you?" she asked Rainpaw, wondering if he was prepared.

Lichenfoot - Tags; Tallstorm

Lichenfoot grunted and cast a look at Tallstorm, before realising it was Rainpaw who had just passed them. She huffed - he should be training, she thought. Though I suppose he needs to do his warrior duties too... a large yawn escaped her mouth, and immediately the she-cat shook herself awake. She looked up at Silverpelt, wondering if Starclan really was evil as the Dark Forest said. Turning to Tallstorm, she asked "What do you think of the Dark Forest?". Lichenfoot seemed to be the only one willing to speak about the threat in the midst of other cats - though, it was probably something to do with her visiting there every night.

Swiftspirit - Tags; Redstar

Swiftspirit was briefly aware of her friend entering the den, and was able to get to sleep much faster with the scent of the clan leader drenching her. She began to dream almost instantly; she was chasing a mouse around the forest, and about to pounce when it turned into a terrifying dark forest warrior, almost twice her size. She was flailing in her sleep, trying to escape the treacherous nightmare. Her fears were playing out in her mind, and she'd had the same dream every night for countless nights. Something about the cat was familiar, but she didn't know what. Without realising, she was batting at Redstar with her front paws.

Oooo, me likey, mwahahaha! Oh, maybe Sol could unite with the dark forest...)

Oakfang - Tom - Warrior - 30 moons - No Crush

He padded into the den, his nest near Meadowlark's. He saw Redstar pad in along with most of the other warriors, except for Meadowlark and Coldcry. He shrugged, knowing those cats where known for staying up late. "Ey, don't worry Miss Redstar, you won't mind the sky's light. But, my brother Coldcry is near you, so be warned for his grumpiness." He purred quietly before sitting down in his mossy bed, stretching a bit. He was a big cat though, so he stayed by a corner so he wouldn't bump anyone.

Foxpaw - She cat - Apprentice - 9 moons - No Crush

Her eyes kept down as she followed Meadowlark onward. "Alright, that's fine by me, but can you go to the medicine den? I don't...want to be near Armadillotumble. Please." She meowed simply, padding then over to apprentice den. She sat at the entrance, looking to her paws. I wish this never happened. Everything was fine...but i suppose that's why they call ignorance bliss and truth ugly.
Coldcry - Tom - Warrior - 30 moons - No Crush

He gave a faint smile. "Indeed, perhaps Starclan too must be tired. I am for sure." He meowed,before hearing the voice of his apprentice. He turned around,nodding to the she cat. "Oy, why you up now? Is there something wrong?" He meowed with a raised eyebrow. "I don't mind talking much, but I don't want to be called a lousy mentor and warrior for having you all up late." He said with a heavy sigh, not caring of that as much as just being bother by the other more proud warriors.

The old she-cat shook her head. She pushed her way into the camp and trotted straight into Armadillotumble and Mintpaw's den. "Mintpaw? I need something of you, again..." She meowed, casting a glance to Foxpaw over her shoulder.

As the leader rested her head, she gazed up at the stars, a chuckle escaping her throat at Oakfang's comment. "I've swatted flies bigger than Coldcry," she laughed, then craned her neck forward to scan the sky. The stars twinkled brightly above, their light casting a mysterious glow in the endless blackness. "Perhaps Flameheart is up there," she mumbled.

Tigerclaw shot the Medicine cat a one eyed glare for several heartbeats before bending and thrusting her muzzle into the grass once more. She pulled back after a moment with her eyebrows furrowed.
"It's stale..." She noted, confused. The scent hadn't been there when the two of them had left. She bent and checked again, picking up another smell of a cat that was mixed with what she could only describe as musty leaves and crowfood. The Warrior looked up at Thinpelt with a bewildered stare. "Come here, tell me what you smell," she invited. Emberclan didn't exactly smell like flowers, but she'd never seen any cat with a scent like the second one.

Tallstorm

Tallstorm raised his head from his paws, and waited for the group of cats to pass before shooting Lichenfoot a quizzical look. Why the sudden question? He thought for a moment before answering her.
"The Place of No Stars is where cats go to have their treachery in life paid for. That is all I've ever heard from Nursery tales." He paused, remembering the stories told by the Elders. "It's where Tigerstar was surely sent." The tabby tom twitched his tail as he stared blankly back at his clanmate. "Why the sudden interest?" He asked, narrowing his eyes.

Rainpaw frowned, realizing he really didn't know what to expect. He shook his head in answer to Sagestep. "No... Not quite." He looked to his mentor hopelessly for instruction.

The tom stepped over a few of his clanmates before making it to his nest. He lied down, finally able to get some rest. "Good night."He spent a few minutes listening to his clanmates before he drifted off to sleep.

Wolfpaw decided to let the two speak in privacy. "I'm going back to the clan now. Thanks Coldcry." Wolfpaw dipped his head in respect and went back to the clan. The Emberclan apprentice padded quickly into the apprentice den. Maybe if he got their early he wouldn't arrive in the dark forest till later. He was mistaken. He had only been asleep for a few heartbeats before he appeared in the forest. Wolfpaw groaned in annoyance, it had been forever since he'd gotten a full night's sleep.

She was hoping the assessment would be quick, by the looks of it Tinypaw had gotten no sleep." {Ugh, I'm not sure what else Rainpaw should be tested for?}

The small tom struggled to keep up with his clanmates. It seemed as if he was getting less sleep by the day. When Tinypaw stumbled over a tree root he fell into a small pile of leaves. That woke him up- Tinypaw jolted backward. The thought of a snail crawling onto his pelt made his backbone shiver.

Rainpaw nodded, thinking. It was a lot, but he was sure they could at least manage the most of it. He nudged Tinypaw to make sure he hadn't begun to doze off again. "Alright, we're a team now, get it? Sagestep, Flickergaze, and Flametooth are going to be watching us, but we won't be able to see them. Come with me, and I'll show you what to do." He turned swiftly at that and whisked away into the undergrowth, heading towards a tree where he knew the sparrows nested most. Once he arrived, he crouched a ways away and waited for Tinypaw. "Alright," he whispered. "I'm going to climb that tree over there-" he jabbed his tail through the dark at a rickety oak that grew next to the sparrow tree. "You, are going to stalk those sparrows pecking around on the ground, and scare them up into the tree. If you can catch one too while you're at it, that's be good." The apprentice observed the birds for a moment, then nodded to himself in reassurance that his plan would go well. "If they come into the trees, I'll catch them." He finished, then stood quietly and headed over to scale the trunk of the oak tree. Once he was up, he crouched in the branches and waited for Tinypaw to do his part. {That's probably fine, I think it's usually just a hunting test and they watch their technique}

Flicking his thin ears as the tom moved around sniffing the ground. "Is that...." He said softly with a wrinkled nose. Shaking his head as he narrowed his eyes softly looking around. "Come we must tell the deputy!" He said turning around. Almost forgetting to pick up his herbs. Licking his muzzle as he moved quickly trotting as he ran back to camp.

The young cat slowly placed her paw in the water as she moved, backing up as she looked down into the water attempting to not have her shadow. Flicking her ears as she watched as a few smaller fish swam by before seeing as he quickly swam away with its tail flopping. She shook her head as she moved softly before quickly picking up her paw again as she waited. After a few minuets she slashed her paw into the water quickly picking up a small fish and snapping her jaws around the fish with her tail flicking happily.

The she cat nodded softly looking at Tumblebrush, "Yes things need to be done" She said before nuzzling one of his ears kindly. "If you need to talk or anything, Just call" The queen said softly as she pulled a wad of moss out of the nursery clumping it together and then pushing it out of the den before turning back to collect more of the moss. The queen flicked her tail yet again before picking up the gross moss as quickened her pace as she exited the camp heading to where she could collect small amounts of moss.

The warrior nodded softly as he griped onto the tree bark and pulling himself up. "Tinypaw Rainpaw.... Dont mess up" He said softly with narrowed eyes as he pulled himself into the trees and disipearing into the tree leafs.

The she cat watched as wolfpaw slinked away. 'Was it something i said?' she thought softly before looking at coldcry. "I just had a bad dream.." She said softly flicking her ears as she moved looking at her mentor. "Do you think we could just start the day early" she asked softly blinking a few times as she yawned softly, yes she was tired but she was still afraid that she would end up back in that starclan for saken forest.

Lichenfoot sighed. "I was just wondering" she murmured. "I mean, maybe they're not allt that bad. Everycat makes mistakes in life and everycat has their problems. Different cats just deal without differently. Perhaps we should ask them instead of trying to fight all the time..." . The she cat's voice trailed off, and she continued questioning herself in her thoughts. She let out another yawn, her eyes slowly closing.
