@Eclipse
I feel the same. There's something inseparable there, that I couldn't break even if I tried for years. If I did, it would be so heartbreaking to see Sol's face fade away like that... Worse than if he were dying. I'd feel so guilty.
I believe that us dæmons are our own selves, yet so bonded with our humans we become one person. I mean, we're not religious (aside from the partial interest in Buddhism) but we do believe in souls incarnation, all that stuff. If you were to ask me, dæmons are you, but not exactly you.@Solar
I think that's a great idea! Sol just uses male pronouns, but I'd like something to differentiate between male and "dæmonic masculine".I would never use they/their, because Sol is his own kind of person and I want to respect that.
Question time!

The pronouns sound like a great idea, and they would make talking about him easier.

Dael has never been in a dream with me, but he does pop into my wonderland occasionally while I'm working on it (tulpamancy never really stuck with me, but I have used the wonderland concept as a way to organize my thoughts and give Dael somewhere to go when I'm not projecting him. I tend to call it a mindscape though, instead of wonderland (oops I digress)). When he's there, he's usually either a weasle or some kind of bird I haven't identified yet. He doesn't take those forms outside of the mindscape though, which is a bit odd.

I'd never heard of those pronouns before, they're actually quite neat, but I literally never talk about my dae to others oops

Mainly an osprey, though I do believe once he appeared as a fox, before I started form finding properly.

I believe the pronouns are rather interesting, but I don't think I could see myself using them. ^^;
I've never had a daemon dream. D:
Ah, I see - although, Tyger, I'm still having doubts that Ki is a daemon. His personality is starting to develop, and he's almost completely different from me... well, maybe not totally, but very much so. He's like... a crazy serious (although he can have a sense of humor at times), loving, and wise version of me. I honestly don't know... he feels like something else, but for now I've been using the term daemon to describe him as it's easiest. But if I were to tell someone that he was my daemon, I wouldn't want them to know that he was literally me... if that makes sense? He still feels like a guradian angel with a hint of daemionism and maybe tulpancy (and I mean maybe, I don't think so but still...)? I have no clue. Eh, enough rambling here.
@Aisling - same thing happened when I tried to have a tulpa, sorry Glimpse... >w< I still think about him, but he rarely pops up anymore. Same for Sinon, my fictive... but that's another story altogether. :c
I have a question, though! I wanted to ask and get opinions has I'm having a hard time connecting with Ki lately, I really don't want our relationship to fade away...

How do you connect with your daemons the most?
Talk to them, definitely. I think that's the best thing you can do. Projection doesn't matter, as long as you're keeping solid conversation at times. Something stressful happens? Turn to them first. You want to talk about something to someone? Go to them first. I find that as soon as turning to them becomes more automatic your connection will be really strong c:

What form does your dæmon usually take when in a dream?
When Amber shows up in my dreams, her form tends to be indistinct. If I focus on what she is, she'll choose one of her common forms (bear, binturong, or cat being her favourites), but when I'm back to focusing on something else in the dream, she'll be back to a vague dark shape that I feel more than see.
How do you connect with your daemons the most?
I had a lot of trouble connecting with Amber in the beginning. I'd try to talk to her, but she never seemed to have anything to say. Projecting tended to have her just sitting there or walking with me, nothing with a lot of personality.
What actually helped me most was daydreaming. I already had a habit of imagining stories in my head before I went to sleep; silly things, like "what if my friends and I got superpowers!" or "what if I fell through a portal into [insert fictional universe]?" So, I started making an effort to include a (corporeal) Amber in them. I found that within a fictional setting, her comments and reactions came more naturally. Maybe it's just that there were more interesting things to react to.
Once I'd gotten to know her better in that context, we started connecting better in day to day life. When I knew how she'd react to a dragon attack, her reaction to an upcoming job interview came more easily. C:

Do any of you think thylacines are a viable form? They're extinct, so it's difficult to find enough info on them, but
this analysis seems very well-researched and just fits me so perfectly! ;u;

I didn't completely read the analysis, but yes, I think it's a valid form. There's enough information about the species and its habits to have a full understanding of its plausible daemon persona, so I don't see why not. The only reason I think most extinct animals are usually not recommended as daemons is because of the limited information about them. The same goes for mythical creatures. Sure, it would be cool, but as there is no factual evidence about any mythical creature that cannot be disputed, it's unreliable and a pretty slack daemon from. They're good for fun, but not as something stable.
edit: I also just made an account on the daemon forum, my username is 42

How do you connect with your daemons the most?
I talk to and project Muri quite a bit. I think that's what originally helped for us to stay connected. c:

I've only had one dream in which Muri has shown up, the other day actually! c: She took the form of a red fox, which is our usual form.
The pronouns are interesting! Though, I can't see myself really using them. ;;
I'm looking at form analysis' on the daemon forum, and looking at the red fox one... it doesn't seem to be a completely fitting form. I've looked at an analysis for the Virginia opossum, and that seems almost completely fitting, but there's one or two things that I don't think match me. I might try out the form, though. I like rodent forms. c:
