I do hope so. But regardless of how well they being cared for, they'll need milk eventually. There are only two queens producing, and they are both against Blackstar. So hopefully they'll turn up soon, the senior warrior mewed, but it was to himself. Speaking always helped him think, especially on stressful subjects. Standing to his paws, he shook out any leaves that may have stuck to his thick pelt, and padded behind Rabbitfur, his turquoise eyes roving for more prey. No problem, just doing my duty as a warrior of Starclan. Agreed, but we must be quick. Blackstar may come searching for us, taking our inactivity as a us secretly searching for the kits. Noting how relaxed Rabbitfur's gaze was, his own turquoise gaze relaxed slightly. But still, his heart thudded hard, and his brain churned.
As far fetched as the idea might seem, Snowfire was still being cautious. He'd noticed how Blackstar had been confrontational about him taking Fallowpaw to spar with LIttlestep; the leader was becoming more wary now, since his actions would most undoubtedly stir the clan the wrong way. So he was dividing who his friends and enemies were, Snowfire was sure. And the tom was also sure that he needed to be considered a friend, a close one. Bottom line, we need to keep a close eyes on the queens. Creamstep is due soon, and he may try to steal her kits. If desperate enough the queens may blow our plans to Blackstar, attack him and blow the plans anyway, or... join him. Or, maybe they'll just weep to us. Regardless, they much be watched for their own safety. And Creamstep is going to birth soon, so we must be even more wary.
Crouching low, the senior warrior began to sniff out that mouse. Quickly catching it's scent trail he padded a few feet away, lunging and catching it. A little sloppy due to him being unfocused, but luckily there was no prey around to scare away. Further up, about twenty yards, the warrior then spotted, what in his own words, was the catch of his career. A hawk; it was on the ground for reasons unknown. Probably hunting itself, but soon it wouldn't be. Crouching and crawling forward slowly, Snowfire kept his eyes on the prize. Just as the hawk flared it's wings he lunged, resulting in a tussle. The thing claws at it's face screeching while he clawed at it's wings, trying to pull it down and bite it's throat. After the beast drew blood on his left forepaw, the warrior finally managed to clamp down on it's throat. It was quite a chaos and a bit sloppy, but nevertheless the mission was complete. Licking his wound clean, the senior warrior picked up his quarry and strode back over to Rabbitfur with an content expression on his face. Tired, but most definitely a tad relaxed.
Think this'll feed the queens and elders by anychance?
