our reserve covers the area of several unique and breathtaking biomes.
you as our guest have the chance to explore these biomes in the hopes of discovering new species! for science!

rules:
FIRST COME FIRST SERVE FOR EXPLORATION ENCOUNTERS
✦you explore for as long as it takes before you find something or until you grow weary.
✦you may pick one of your creatures as a guide, and they may help you catch other creatures.
✦you may only explore one biome at a time.
✦you are not guaranteed to find something every exploration.
✦mods and full artists can both open up explorations for themselves to work with. there can be as few as 1 or as many as 5 explorations running for each artist or mod at any given time.

Tip: different animals can be found in different biomes, so you might have a better chance finding some in their favorites!

the biomes
in order to begin an exploration, the explorer must know which area they would like to visit
below are all the possible areas that can be investigated upon exploration

the wood
many creatures lurk and linger in the shadows of the wood. lush and dense with plantlife, the wood has a mysterious feel to it, and it is actually quite easy to become lost! remember to bring a guide!

river banks
the river banks are a key part of our animals daily routine. many animals take the time to go to the rivers to drink and meet others of their kind. it is an important water source as well as an important social meeting place.

grassy plains
here is where you can find many omnivores and herbivores alike. the grass feels soft and inviting to smaller species, and it offers protection from the sight of predators that may be lurking. the only sound heard here is the sound of grass rustling by the breeze.

marshy wetlands
the ground is soggy and rich in nutrients as the reeds and other vegetation grows tall. the air here is dense with humidity and full of the chirps of crickets and small unseen frogs. the water is just visible beyond some of the reeds, shining brightly although it's mucky state underneath the surface. no one would dare to get close though...

cankee peaks
named the cankee peaks, it is famous for the sound that is heard during the night when the cankees call out to the twin orbs in the sky. this tall mountainous range is risky and dangerous to travel alone. sharp cliffs and craggy paths have proven the best explorers to be amateurs. plantlife and animal life is scarce here, but worth it when found.

desert oasis
past the cankee peaks is the desert, a wide barren land that is hot with the intensity of the sun. only creatures who have adapted to the desert or have found the oasis by chance live here. the wind whips strongly and cascades the sand into unrecognizable passages. it is easy to become lost.

the cove
warm and with a slight breeze, the cove borders the land and the sea. some animals come here to escape the other biomes and meet with each other. bird like creatures enjoy staying by the cove to find what washes ashore. sometimes shiny object can be found washed up on the beach.

tigris is filled with joy as you leap down to her rescue... except, now both of you are stuck. after a few moments of both of you pacing, Tigris seems to notice a tunnel in the shadows a little deeper in the hole.

1. do you follow the dark tunnel?
2. stay put; this is a popular hiking trail and someone's bound to find you soon.
