Echoepaw nodded, then padded through the forest again. She scented the air, ears pricking. "I smell a water vole," She announced. The apprentice trotted towards a stream and dropped into a hunter's crouch. Echoepaw lunged after the water vole, but the caw~caw! of a bird warned it just in time. She ended up in the stream, her fur already soaked.
