PeachFuzz wrote:A note on terracotta pots: Most have a hole on the bottom that should be plugged before putting in your tank. Many people have lost bettas because they went into the hole, got stuck, and drowned. Don't worry, it's an easy fix - just stuff in a little piece of aquarium sponge or glue a rock over the hole (using aquarium-safe silicone or super glue).
You're welcome, boston c: I'm sure your goldfish will love it!
Thanks c: I also looked up a way to make them bigger by soaking them for a while and filing them but that sounds like a huge pain so I'll do the sponge one haha. Thanks <3

Just bought 500ml bottle of water conditioner for 1 euro.

The catch was it's has expiration date of 12/2015, but really how bad can it go... : P Also got filter cartilage and potasium fertilizer half price from another store, though they were not so great find as I could have gotten them for that prize from one webstore.
Can we pretend that the airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?
I could really use a wish right now, wish right now, wish right now...

I have to show pictures of my newest Jaguar Cichlid. Because my friends don't understand my love for this fish. He is absolutely stunning. I got him and his tank (It looks really small in the pics. Don't worry it's not tiny) and all his supplies from a family friend for
free because they didn't want him anymore. He was in a filthy tank that was sooooooo dirty. Poor baby. It was hard to even see him it was so murky. So I got him out of the tank asap and moved him to a cooler/moving tank. When I got home I got all the sand and supplies cleaned up (it was gross. I won't lie. It was beyond gross) and got it back together and got his water the correct temp. and everything. When I put him in the tank it was a 'woah...this is....clean' and I just sat there watching him for like 5 minitues. He was on a solid flake diet which isn't
that bad but they are omnivores and need live stuff as well. So I was able to get him to eat 4 comet goldfish and a guppy over about an hour. He wouldn't eat them at first but then he figured out they were food. Today I got him to eat some flakes as well as another goldfish. I don't think they were feeding him properly to be honest.
Anyway this is my new
favorite boy.
Picture 1Picture 2Picture 3Picture 4Picture 5Picture 6Picture 7 (his whole tank) - the writing in the upper left corner says DANNY - Jaguar Cichlid - Cleaned - 4/20 (all of our tanks have this info. Their names - if they are named - species and the last date cleaned. Also when they last ate if they don't eat daily. That last one is mostly for our reptiles.)

My little moonie is a strange critter ono
When I have my computer on my desk (where I have Eclipse's tank) He likes to go into the corner where my computer is and sit there for a moment. My mom is thinking because of the warmth, but my computer hardly gives off any heat on the desk ono
We're also planning on getting him a plant, his tank is really empty with only a little Clownfish statue ono Other then that, he seems pretty happy c:
I need to start giving some more updates on him and get some pictures of him ono

It looks like a crown tail.. kindof. But not really
I always thought crown tails had longer bits

Not quite spiky enough to be a crowntail. I'd put my finger on something along the lines of a delta tail or halfmoon. Does the tail make a 180 degree angle when extended?

Have thousands of pets available for C$ and swaps

That looks a lot like my delta tail, but it would be easier to tell if you had a picture of him flaring? ^^

I can't help with the identifying since I don't know much about bettas, but he does look gorgeous.
I tried to find espei rasboras for my tank, but none of the fish stores around here have any right now. So I ordered some from my main LFS. Can't wait to get them

I'll try my best, he's too wiggly but I'll try haha
Maybe I'll buy a small portable mirror

maybe it is delta.. but honestly this guy isnt agressive for very long or.. Ever really. So it's really hard to see him extend his tail all the way. I'll get a better picture later on
