I have hardly breached chapter four and I already cannot contain the immediate love I feel for this. Oh, dear Captain, this is magnificent. There is nothing I enjoy more than a story set in this time frame - and with breathtaking characters and writing nonetheless! Captain Waters has already left a deep impression on me: and if I may, it takes quite a hefty lot to strike me as this fiery protagonist has. I have a feeling that I have set myself up for future heartache. I know I sound as if I am rambling uncontrollably - but I assure you I have nothing but praise-filled thoughts for you. It leaves me sad to find that you concluded the first draft before it was finished: but I have done this many a time. Just serve these characters well and keep good vigilance with Swindle. It will certainly be well worth the struggle and stress that authors endure.
Now that I am done spewing my nonsense, I will return to chapter five.

Ahh thank you!
I'm always amazed when people like my stuff- especially as old as the beginning is since with this project, which I started over a year ago, I barely wrote- ok, I didn't write outside of school. I just got an idea and went with it. So my newer stuff is definitely better but I'm glad you like it so much already! These characters are definitely ones that are easy to get attached to, that's for sure.
I also saw you mention Ezio in your interests and I think you should know Asassin's Creed II and Black Flag are my go-to writing soundtracks for this story

Oh, Cap'n I am two - maybe three - steps ahead of you. I have made it through to fourteen now, for lack of being able to say much on here until this very instance. I have had to skip over Venice Rooftops more than once in particular places I will not shriek at you for mention for spoiler purposes. Game of Thrones also kept up the pace quite well. As for characters, I can definitely tell that Scarlet is a budding flower. (Goodness that sounded a lot more lame than I meant it). She has grown so much from last night to this evening. And Warren. Oh Gods, Warren.

... that is amazing
I'm going to keep you too
-places you in pile with elizabeth and crowie- -pat pat-
I'm definitely working hardcore on character development for them both. Scarlet's walls need to crumble a little and Vin needs to go from sheltered to pyrate extraordinaire
they must learn from each other xD
ohno another Warren fangirl run and hide

Ahh, I adore those kinds of working characters! In my opinion - not that it exactly matters - I believe it is super, super important for characters to draw from one another. Yes, I could agree with your line of thinking. It would be good to see Scarlet when her guard is down - or, effected on another level other than fight me m8. Ahhh, yay! ... Just don't forget to bring me some tea: oh and if I get wet I turn into a fuzzy demon: just general warning label things there for you.

nuu I love opinions c:
and yeah it's so hard for me to let Scarlet's guard down x.x because I know her too well and the second she does she'll be down for the count. She has trouble finding middleground so she goes with killkillkill ass opposed to snot crying all over the place ya dig
... ok just don't ask for any snacks after midnight

I am so happy you got that reference. Like I can't begin to-
Maybe I like this posting format better.
Oh, yes, I have a character that is similar to Scarlet in that way. Rather, he tends to shut himself off, until it becomes far too much for him to handle and he must react - or so he feels. Letting her snot cry once or twice would be good to show further depth. So readers do know that she is not invincible, whether she wants them to know that or not.

Mean characters are my spirit animals.
I've made it to Thorton now.
So, I can see that. Gods, the can't catch a break.
I am assuming Beth and all of the other characters enter at a later time?
Hah, ohh man. See, my main project is of a pirate ship as well. However, it's told from the point of view of the captain's newfoundland. Which may seem cheesy, but, don't judge me I got the idea when I was in high school and still thought sparklies were 4 life.
