I actually just looked it up, and it never mentions her again after fire and ice, and it never stated that she died at all.

Oh Mistlekit, the forgotten.
Poor thing, I'll remember you.

R.I.P Mistlekit's existance

Maybe she left and became like, a bloodclan cat. That'd be a good fanfiction.

Someone needs to make it into a roleplay.
Maybe she just became a unicorn and flew away, that's good stuff.

I decided to bring up a discussion here

One thing that I see people use as a way to hand wave bad things in shows/books/games/whatever for kids is "oh it's for kids, you shouldn't expect it too be anything amazing". I really don't understand why people think that. Just because something is for kids doesn't suddenly mean that it being lazy and bad is excusable imo. There are plenty of things for kids that are good. I'm going to us a couple examples of other things for kids in comparison to warriors here, and for the record, the stuff I bring up I like, and Warriors is something that I don't like.

Okay. Warriors has really bad plots and characters [especially in the late books]. But just because it's for kids doesn't suddenly mean it has to have bad plots or characters. For example, Avatar is a kids show, and it had/has a great story and awesome characters. The reason why Warriors has bad plots and characters is because the writers can't write, not because it's for kids. The writers on Avatar actually COULD write, however.

Same goes with villains. Honestly, all of the villains in warriors are really cliché. Bu that's not because it's for kids. It' because the writers aren't very good at writing. I mean, ATLA was a kids show and it had good villains [especially Azula], and one of the characters who was the villain at first [you know who] ended up getting redeemed also, and said story arc was really good IMO

Also, MLP is a kids show, but it's villains aren't terrible. Look at Discord! If Warriors had a villain like that that would be awesome.

So anyway, my point is that warriors being a kids book series doesn't excuse it's bad characters, villains, and plots in general.

[but seriously though discord is awesome]

I AGREE WITH YOU SO MUCH.
Seriously though, why do people think "It's for kids" Is an excuse? No matter who you're targeting, having good characters and story is a necessity. In fact, lots of "Kids shows" are much more popular than ones for adults (Gravity falls, Over the garden wall, My little pony, etc). I mean, Mlp may have the biggest fandom in the world. Don't sell it short because it is "for kids".

I do feel that we may have previously kit a rough patch with kid stuff previously, though. We had some crappy shows (Almost anything on the Disney channel) and not many good books targeted at them, so things supposedly aimed at kids got a bad rep. I think we are starting to recover, however, as many new things labeled as "Kid's stuff" are very good. I hope that all these great things showing kid's stuff isn't just for kids, and that future people will understand and make it even better.

How warriors became so popular is beyond me. Maybe it just came out at the right time, and people only remembered the good things, so it stuck.

One of the biggest things I have against Warriors is what happens to the main characters of a certain arc in the next one. They pretty much get a COMPLETE personality change, and they become all wise and mature and ancient and whatever, and that REALLY annoys me. Let's look at Squirrelflight- she's bubbly, stubborn, and hot-headed. I get that she becomes a "mother" and matures, but she retains literally NOTHING from her former traits. This is probably just me being picky, but... honestly.
