The tom relished how it felt on his dry throat and when he was quite done, he turned and waited for a response eagerly.

Foxfeather stayed rather silent as the tom continued speaking, not seeing a reason to respond when he wasn't even asking her anything. Then when he asked her a question, she started to think of which way she wanted to go. If they went upstream they'd end up near Wheatclan, if they went downstream they'd end up near Pineclan. The Wheatclan cats were rather boring to her, while the Pineclan cats kind of interested her. She would want to go and annoy some Cliffclan cats, since they had always been rather violent and funny, but Streamclan was nowhere near their territory. After thinking all of this, she simply responded with "downstream".

Ashwing, deciding it would be rude to not take the fish, took it and ate it. It wasn't as bad as some cats made it out to be, although if he ate it everyday, he might not be ble to take it. With light pawsteps, he parted his mouth just a bit to bring in the scents of the world around him. The breeze brought forth a wave of prey and he nodded in content as it ran through his fur. His thoughts began to wonder how he would get the she-cat to stop being so closed off and serious but no ideas came to mind so he simply decided to just let it run its course. Besides, if this didn't work, there were plenty other she-cats he could bother.
