Raineyes glanced at Shadespots, nodding briefly at the other queen's words. "Yes, you're right." She wrapped her tail around Maplekit, beckoning her to the nursery. She trusted Shadespots would do the same with Whisperkit. Amberkit appeared to still be sleeping, which was a good thing for her.
She gently nudged Maplekit into the nursery. "Stay here, little one." Maplekit wouldn't be happy, Raineyes knew, as she was ever the advertourous spirit. Still, she hoped the kit would realize the very real danger they were in. "It will all be okay Mama," the kit had promised her. She only hoped Maplekit was right.

Maplekit sighed when her mother nudged her in the nursery. But she knew her mother would be even more stressed if she rebelled. "Fine, Mama. Stay safe. I love you," she mumbled as she walked to her nest. Maplekit hopped into her nest and curled up. She closed her eyes, and fell asleep again almost immediately.
