The watchful Eye
Ahri is sworn to an order bent on protecting. She is a watchful eye. That is all she will ever be and it is displayed proudly.
The servant's Chains
The Oriikae family makes it known that they are never their own. They are servants, slaves, to their duty. They serve till they die.
The Seal of approval
The mark on the back of her neck/shoulders is a seal. This testifies that she has been deemed worthy and is thus now inseparable from her purpose.
The Weave of unity
The tattoo on her tail base represents her unity with the order. This she has had since a pup when she was marked right after birth.
The Tally of progress
The tally on her arm records her level of training. Each level has one bar of tallies. She has 4 bars, each of 7 tallies.
Ahri was born into a family of protectors, linked by a long lineage of guardians. Sworn to protect by an unknown debt from so long ago it was forgotten, the Oriikae family are watch dogs. They had no origin or hometown, no nation or alliance to a certain area of family, or at least not now. Originally they owed someone, somewhere, but now they cover a vast area of clientele. When they are hired, they swear to protect you until death does part them, or until the contract is fully fulfilled. Most times the contract goes for a lifetime, but it isn't uncommon to only have small jobs that hold them only for a few months. Now, understand this very clearly. All in her family are born into this business. It owns you. It is you. You are an Oriikae and there is no way to escape it. Ahri is proud of her family line and her lifestyle. While others may feel trapped by it, Ahri could never imagine any other lifestyle. For all her life, this has been her purpose, the point to her existence. It defines her identity. She is an Oriikae, a sworn protector. That is all she will ever be. To her, to be Oriikae is to serve others without hesitation, to be there for them, much more than protecting them. When she swears to someone, she means it with all her heart. It isn't just a job, it's a passion, it is her life and love. She couldn't ask for anything more than to serve her client, and it would be an honor to die for them.
Her hairless appearance is part of her family line and is used so that they may mark their own easier. Tattooing a furred body is much harder. Her tattoos give her a sense of power in the unity of her family, and any part about her beauty is promptly ignored.
