ShadeSpots looked at MapleKit, she shook her head. "Don't worry, get back in the nursery" she mewed softly nudging the kits in, she looked back, worry clouded her eyes as she scooted the small cats into the den.

Maplekit unwillingly followed Shadespots back into the nursery. "I-I thought we did," she mumbled. "I thought we got rid o-of the murderer? So Silvermist was innocent?!" she cried. Maplekit's green eyes looked at the ground, clouded with sadness.

Darkclaw padded into the nursery and rested his tail on Maplekit's shoulder. "I promise we'll find them before they hurt you, okay?" He hated to see the sweet, young kit so scared.

Maplekit looked up at the older cat, comforted by his words. "Th-Thanks, Darkclaw," she said softly. She really hoped he was right.

[gallifrey falls.]

Raineyes opened her eyes, aware of the fact Maplekit wasn't next to her as she usually was. Getting to her paws, the pregnant queen sxired the nursery to find her kit, Shadespots, Darkclan, and other members of the an gathered around the still body of Silvermist.
Worry clawed at her heart, and she padded quickly up to Maplekit, sniffing her over. She appeared fine, if frighrned. But they all were frightened. Raineyes quietly hoped this killer, whoever they were, would have enough sense not to murder a kit. Maplekit was her only surving kit from her litter of three, born last leaf-bare. Hawkit and Leafkit had perished in the cold, barely more than newborns.
Tearing her thoughts away from such dark memories, Raineyes flashed a grateful look to Darkclaw, having her his words of comfort to her kit as she was approaching.

Darkclaw exited the den, sitting down. He tried to be the cat to comfort the others, but it was a hard thing to do.

Maplekit gazed up at her mother. "Mommy, I'm okay. I promise," she said to her mother. The small kit could tell her mother was worried, so Maplekit rubbed her cheek against her mother's leg. "We'll be okay," the kit said with false confidence. We'll be okay if the killer doesn't like killing kits and queens, she said to herself.

ShadeSpots looked at the dead cat. She nudged the kits into the nursery. She looked at RainEyes. "Lets not ket them see... They're to young..." She murmured to the other queen as she then sat in front of the nursery looking out.
