Hiccup's eyes were drawn to the sight below them. It was dark, desolate, with wreckage strewn about from some ancient war. There was nothing to identify whoever was involved, but enough to know that something had happened. He was so drawn to it that he hardly even heard her question, and took a moment to figure out what she had said. "Of course I brought it." he replied, tapping the saddle bag with one hand. Silently after that, he had Toothless dive until they were close to the sharp rocks and could see more. All this was interesting, but he kept on flying, looking to the island ahead.

Astrid watched them closely for a moment before having Stormfly do the same and got close enough to the old shipwreck that she was able to see char marks and tell that it had been there for awhile, however long it had been she had no idea buts he likely had a feeling that they were on the right path as the skull that had been brought to them was also very old. Great, now we just have to stay on high alert to make sure nothing happens. Brilliant plan, just walk right into this little game. She thought silently as she stroked Stormfly's side having the Nadder slow down just the slightest in hopes that if they needed to escape quickly they'd have the energy to do so.

Hiccup looked closely at the shipwreck as they passed by. It was old, certainly old enough to be as old as that skull. He picked up speen slightly, not even noticing that she was trying to slow down. The sharp rocks emerging from the water got more crowded up until the very shore of the island. When he saw what was on the island, he had to stop. What he had thought from afar were stones leading up to a dense forested area where actual more shipwrecks, just as burned as the ones they found over the water. He glanced to Astrid. Even if they didn't find any Night Furies, there was something wrong with this place, and it was well worth the investigation.

Astrid gave Hiccup a small look as if debating on whether or not to follow after him or not. She wasn't liking this place the slightest bit, burned ships, sharp jagged rocks and then being guided to this island by one of their main enemies which just had danger written all over it in the first place. She did however have Stormfly catch up to them again before slowing down and glancing at the dense thick forests and undergrowth. "You know this place has danger written all over it." She said in a slightly sarcastic tone as Stormfly landed on the shoreline.

Hiccup had Toothless hover over the coarse sands. There were no signs on this island of anyone or anything living on it- no dragons, no footprints, nothing. "Well, what do you want to do, then? Turn back?" he questioned. Nothing could cause him to turn back, not now. The sun beat harshly on the island, and Hiccup kept it to his back as he had Toothless swoop low over the island and shipwrecks, keeping an eye out for anything, including traps. He didn't see anything there that could possibly signify that Dagur's men had been there recently.

Astrid glared at him when he spoke those words though there was an obvious hurt look there as well before she responded sharply. "No, I am not turning back." She snarled causing Stormfly to growl lowly and flinch the slightest bit as it had been unexpected. She ad Stormfly take tot he air once again glancing at the woods for a moment until she noticed a path of undergrowth leading into the forest that seemed to have been stepped on, likely recently, though whether or not she was willing to follow that she had no idea but instead gestured with her head the slightest bit.

Hiccup flinched slightly as her sudden outburst, but didn't say anything in return. He did, however, follow her reference to the tiny path into the dense undergrowth, and had Toothless follow it from the air- enough that they could just see the path, and where it led. On the small island, it didn't take long for the path to reach the area in the center island which was rocky and sandy. There, the path seemed to descend into a widemouthed cave. There was enough room for Toothless to land outside of it, and he did. Pulling himself off his dragon, Hiccup paused in wait for what would certainly be rough words from Astrid about why they shouldn't go down into that cave.

Astrid was hesitant to follow but Stormfly seemed to know how to get Astrid to snap out of that cautiousness and landed shortly after Toothless had near the opening that lead in a cave. She sighed quietly, glancing at it before looking around the area. "I don't see any footprints, but if anyone has come here they've likely hidden their footprints as much as possible." She paused again for a moment as she looked around at the forest. "I'll stay out here in case of an ambush if it is a set up, if you see anything, let me know and if not, please come back here."

Hiccup gave a slight nod in thank you. "Come on, Toothless." he summoned. The cave seemed know as if it were big enough for his dragon, and though it could narrow into a tight fit later, he wouldn't dare go down into the depths of the cave alone. It was dark, but the occasional plasma blast at a stone provided a dim light. The path was sloping down into the earth, but after a bit of walking and a few turns in leveled out; Hiccup could see ahead where it opened into a cavern. What he saw in the cavern was enough to make him stop short, and gasp. Quickly, desperately, he called for Astrid. His call, however, was cut short; not even a snarl from Toothless and a loud plasma blast were enough to stop the figures, moving quickly, gleams of light from holes in the cave above reflecting off their weapons. In moment they had ropes over Toothless, and they were attacking Hiccup unsparingly.

Astrid hadn't even heard anything, expecting that the plasma blasts given off were for light in the cave she wasn't obvious to anything else that was there or what was going on until a few moments after Stormfly snarled lowly in a death like way and her spines started to stand on end. "Stormfly, what is it girl?" She asked jumping back in surprise as the Nadder growled clawing at the cave knowing that she wasn't able to fit in there. Astrid was hesitant as she grabbed her ax off of her dragons saddle, and heading towards the mouth of the cave silently as she headed in, silent as a killer knowing almost immediately she knew was was going on. She had an idea though, fight a surprise attack with her own.
