Skyrim- Accepting!

"Hello, I'm Bodean Kalortod." He replied. "And yes, I suppose it is ironic. Who is this?" He asked, gesturing towards the other person standing next to Kanji.

"This is Thrush," Kanji said, gesturing with her blade hand in the direction she judged her friend to be. "You could say that she's my eyes for this particular excursion. My profession requires a lot of map reading, which I can't do, for obvious reasons. We're currently looking for one of the lost Aetherium sites, and she's reading the map." She didn't expect him to know what Aetherium was, of course, but she didn't mind. In fact, she liked explaining things to others, it made her feel useful in some way. Not that she was useless, mind, she just felt better if there was something people needed her for other than her sharp hearing.

"Ah, I've heard of Aetherium before. I'm a collector, so I've read up on most things requiring ancient artifacts and whatnot. May I ask why?" Bodean questioned. He had indeed heard of a blue crystal called the Aetherium, though he wasn't sure if that's what she was talking about. He'd always admired the blue gem, but had no real intentions of finding it himself.

Or we could do like a major plot twist and he like already had the gem or something)

"Well, the Dwemer went through a decades-long war over it," Kanji said, "So it must've been valuable in some way. Research suggests that it's got some incredible magical properties, but nobody's ever been able to find where the stuff is. A friend of mine thought she had found where some of it was, so I'm going to see if she was right."

Bodean nodded. "Hey, would you mind if I join you? I've always wanted to see the crystal in real life." He asked. Hopefully she would say yes. He was strong, so if there were any monsters anywhere he could take care of them, and with his knowledge of gemstones, he might be able to do something with that skill, right?

"I don't see why not," Kanji said, turning to where she thought Thrush was. Strange, that even though she couldn't see either of them, she still felt compelled to look at them when she was talking to them. "That is, of course, if Thrush doesn't mind."

[Wind Mage]

Thrush spun around as she heard something crawling through the bushes. Kanji was right, they had company. The elf saw awkwardly as the two began to have a conversation. This went from almost getting killed by Forsworn, so maybe having a new traveling companion. Thrush didn't mind though. She enjoyed bigger groups.

"I don't mind you tagging along if Kanji doesn't." She said cheerily. Thrush was slightly disappointed in not getting to introduce herself, but she wouldn't let it get to her. She was slightly unnerved by the sudden appearance of a man, especially one who showed up through the wilds, but she didn't let it bother her. She did the same thing, technically.

Bodean eagerly anticipated Thrush's answer. He'd been dreaming about the Aetherium for most of his life, and he would be extremely proud to brag to everyone that he'd actually seen the crystal with his own eyes. Once they'd found it, he would immediately tell his friend Madesi, the Argonian jeweler in Riften. Aah, this is quite exciting! After hearing her response, he smiled. "Oh, how wonderful!" He cried. "When do we leave? It's getting somewhat boring here in the grass, let's explore!" He said overenthusiastically.

He's starting to remind me a little of Cicero for some reason..?)

"Well, Thrush is our current map reader," Kanji said, deactivating her blade and shield, " So she has our heading. Shall we continue, then?"

[Wind Mage]

Thrush smiled, and raised a thumbs up in a sort of approval. "Glad to have you here!" She said. Pulling the map out of her shirt and quickly looking it over. "We can leave now, actually" the elf said as she tucked the map away again. She would need to get used to someone who had as much enthusiasm as her.

(Just to be clear, Thrush has a second shirt underneath her attire to keep her warm, so she isn't just... slapping it against her chest or something xD)
