I would like the art to be squished closer to the text, I always get confused on that.

If you want the image to squish to the left, you just [left ][ /left] around the image.

As a pointer, it is worth noting that with the transparent x's, you can remove or add more as you like. I used the same number of x's with the code, if this is what you wanted in the first place.

so i'm half way through a sig and i notice that the second border/divider thingy has dropped lower? i'm not sure why, though. can anyone help me out?
