Brand name is helpful but there are toooons of different kinds of Wardley fish foods xD
What's more important is the ingredient list and breakdown analysis of protein percentages and such c:
Ideally you want a fish food that has whole ingredients, and for a betta you don't want a food that's plant based.
Personally I'm a fan of the Omega One Betta Buffet flakes c: They have excellent ingredients and my fish have done really well on them. I also tend to not be a fan of pellets because of the expansion that can happen with them (i.e. they get waterlogged in the stomach of your fish and expand) which can cause a risk of bloat so i prefer flakes. Just a personal choice though <3

Anyone know? or have you had it happen to you?

I've read about bettas making popping noises wither when they're shifting their teeth or if they're manipulating something in their mouths.
5 years is about average for for a betta lifespan, however some betta fish have been known to live to around twice that!

Have thousands of pets available for C$ and swaps

They certainly are! They even apparently enjoy having their tanks or whatever icky //However I wouldn't let them swim in gross old water ene that seems horrible to the fish either way.//

I love my little guy. He hasn't made a bubble nest yet (not all of them do it anyway) but he's also new so I'm sure he's just warming up to his home. He loves to explore though, and he's a little piggy so I know I have to be careful to not overfeed him c:

They do if they're really happy/healthy. C:
It looks all foamy. Pretty neat :D
It's to attract females because male bettas raise their fry in the nest

It actually has nothing to do with whether they're happy or not. It's instinct-based for breeding. I have seen bettas in horrible scum filled cups at Petco building bubble nests. My Finley was very lethargic when I bought him and the water in his cup was at 8 ammonia. But there he was, building a bubble nest.
