Well... Zexal is on Pop, now that you mention it...

Also, wasn't Sailor Moon dubbed by DiC?

Guys.
So, we returned from our holidays in Turkey last week.
And guess what my awesome grandmother bought me?
5 animes.
5. Ghibli. Animes.

So, most people here in Germany (I don't know how it is where you all live) rather stream animes from the internet than buying them.
That's why one My Neighbor Totoro DVD costs 29.99€ (around 31$, I guess).

So, we were shopping and then we went into this store...
That sells DVDs...
And between all those children's DVD's, I saw the beautiful cover of Spirited Away.
Gosh, me and my sister literally digged through the shelves like insane.
We found 10 animes, but we had to settle with 5.

And guess their price?
They were for 10 TL (around 3.5€ / 3.8 $)!
Okay?
That's nothing!
We got 5 animes for the price of one over here in Germany.
I'm so happy right now, words can't describe my happiness. ;u;

♥♥♥

I got 4 DS games for about 22€ when I was in England - I was so happy and bought so many... (no Gamestore where I live)
We had some chinese children in our school during an exchange and they all bought some electronic stuff, I think because it was cheaper for them.
I like the german dub of the ghibli movies though, I have a few on DVD.

I think there are really good and extremely bad german dubs.
I agree with you, most Ghibli movies have great german dub.
When it comes to other anime,.... arrgh...

I'll just say: I usually watch anime in english, even if there actually is a german version.
I just can't accept the fact that they have the same voices as actors for shows that are for the age group of first graders.
I just can't.
I am a holibomber!
I have gifted 17 people.
I have received 13 gifts.
nevermind.

I notice this is pretty common within the fans ( i am the bold letters)
"The anime is bad"
>you need to read the manga

"Manga is probably bad too."
>you can't criticize something you haven't read

"Ok, I read the manga. It's aweful too."
>if you don't like it then why are you reading it?

That may be true in some cases, but sometimes the Anime is better than the Manga, I wouldn't generalize that Manga is always better. Plus, some people can't really read mangas, I can never get used to reading from right to left so i hardly read mangas xnx

it's decent, but the anime went with an alternative ending rather then following the manga,
there is also going to be a second season soon

but it's pretty nice, the animation is good, and it has a interesting plot

I want to cosplay from either Soul Eater or Attack on Titan.

I've been thinking Soul Eater, since its my second favorite anime (Fullmetal Alchemist is WAY too hard to cosplay) and I managed to find a website with a seventy dollar custom-made Soul costume. All I would need to buy separate is a wig, coloured contacts, and shoes.

As for SnK, I already own the Scout's cloak and I would just need the leather vest/jacket and harness. I could just buy brown knee-high boots and wear white pants and any plain shirt. I just have two problems. One, I can't find any websites with cheap harnesses (not including the actual 3Dmg of course) or cheap jackets. As well, I don't know who I would cosplay. I could just do my OC, but I've heard a lot of hate towards cosplaying an OC.

Anyone have any tips or tricks? Maybe even a good website for cosplay gear? Any help or advice would be really helpful, thanks! c:

I'm a little surprised by the fact that Noragami turned out to be one of my favorite anime! I have to say that it isn't deep/ questions humanity or anything of that sort, but it's very good for an easy-to-watch action anime with a charismatic list of characters [ charismatic characters? >.< ] and plenty of humor to balance out the more dramatic moments. I'd probably classify it as a mainly comedy/action first and foremost, but that's not to say it doesn't have its serious moments. The art is absolutely gorgeous and the music is great [ a catchy OP and an ED by supercell ]. Since I notice you enjoy Owari no Seraph, I think Noragami is something you'd probably also like because it's got that fantasy/action theme without being too psychologically taxing.

do you have any anime you'd call better than the original manga? i can't think of any, but then again i'm a pretty big manga fan so i might be a bit biased haha.
in manga, the story is a lot less rushed since there isn't as much worry about a 23 minute limit. it's also easier for me to connect to the characters, though i've noticed some characters are more likable when animated
