"Remember the past, plan for the future, but live for today, because yesterday is gone and tomorrow may never come."
She was grooming herself in the clearing, watching whiskertail stare at a butterfly a few feet away. She stopped and grinned as he gasped when it landed on his nose. Then she realized something. "Hey whiskertail. Hows leafpaws training going?" He grinned. "It's great! He's just the sweetest kid!" She snorted. "You really are a mousebrain. Arn't you." He still stared at the butterfly for a moment as what she said processed. Whenbit did he turned to her crying, "hey! What's that supposed to mean!" She just laughed.

"Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending."
Tears threatened her eyes when vixen helped her but she knew she couldn't leave her behind. As soon as the fox threw vixen into a rock, new strength pulsed through her veins and her pain was temporarily forgotton. In a fit of rage she charged forward, and while the foxs gaze was still on vixen, she pounced aiming straight for it's neck. Latching on the fox began to panic as she cut off its air supply. it tried shaking her, biting her, banging her against a tree but she wouldn't let go. ~this was all my fault~ she thought. ~Vixens hurt because of i couldn't leave. My brothers dead because I wasn't here to help him. I don't care if this kills me. I will never leave a friend behind again.~ she bit down harder and tasted the sharp tang of the foxs blood.
