Night-Thrush pads over to Fallenpaw, saying " We're going to do some hunting, and the best way to catch fish quickly." He waves his tail, beckoning for the apprentice to come.

The young apprentice nodded excitedly and followed, taking in every word his mentor said and devoting in to memory. "where will we be hunting at?" He asked, his eyes glowing in anticipation.

Night-Thrush said " Instead of hunting at the lake as usual, we will be going over to the river where the fish run well, but don't fall in." He stood up, then started padding off, saying behind his shoulder " Well, are you coming or not?"

He nodded and ran to catch up. Falling into step beside his mentor he kept his eyes focused on the path in front of him as his thoughts traveled. ~The rivers a good idea. It's a lot shallower there but the waters also moving faster. I'm gonna have to be careful. I wonder how dad did when he first when fishing.~ he thought as they made their way to the river.

Midnightstream sighed, then said " Other than the fact I feel that our leader wont trust me with an apprentice, fine. I'm wondering if it's because I was once a loner, and the fact I might turn back. Anyways, how are the kits coming?" She looked at her, wishing she herself would at least once have her own kits, but that probably wasn't possible with her.

"I'm sure it's not that, you've progen your loyalty many times before. Cloudstar would be stupid if he doesn't know that," she mewed. "Oh and the kits are coming great, thanks," Lilyblossom smile.

Night-Thrush arrives at the river, noticing it ws going faster than before, so they would need to be careful. He says " So, are you ready, Fallenpaw?" He uses a paw to poke the water, noticing it just looked like it was running fast, he says " It's fine. Now the first think you do is put all your weight into your haunches. You want all of your weight on the land, giving you a better chance of not falling into the river." He demonstrated, his weight into his haunches, one of his paws ready to strike.

Midnightstream sighs, then says " I just hope I get an apprentice at least once in my lifetime." She looks at Lilyblossom, then says " That's good to hear. At least the kits will be here soon hopefully. Have you thought of names you might give them yet?"

Settling down beside him he watched nighthrush intently. Following his instructions he shifted to where all his weight was back. It felt a bit awkward and off balanced but he figured it's better than falling in the river. "I think I got it. What's next?"

"When my kits come of age l ask Cloudstar personally to make one your apprentice," she promised. "I haven't thought of any names yet but I know when they're born I'll have the perfect names," Lilyblossom smiled.

Midnightstream said " Oh no, you don't have to do that. And I know you will pick great names for your kits." She smiled, then the thought came to her mind, and she said " I wonder when the next gathering will take place, because I think tonight it will be a half moon, so soon I would hope."

Night-Thrush says " Now, before you get ready to look for a fish, make sure you feel like you have your balance. You also want to make sure that your shadow is behind you, not in front, otherwise you will scare off the fish." He notices his shadow behind him, then gets ready to start finding fish.
