"Oh?" Za'ji asked, hoping to get a little knowledge of what she was going to be facing. It wouldn't be anything she couldn't handle, unless ice had suddenly become a new torture instrument, But she still wanted some forewarning. " And how might you do that? Wouldn't I, if I were an assassin, be trained to resist interrogation techniques? Do you really believe that I would break so easily?"

Thrush sighed contently. Although Markarth was a dangerous city, surrounded by a dangerous hold, it was still the most beautiful to her. It took an ordinary man to see the forsword, murder, and dark magics here- or whatever people thought about this place. It takes a bard, on the other hand, to see the beautiful scenery and rich lore of this place- which is why thrush loves it.

Out of the corner of her eye, the bosmer saw a traveler, maybe a vagabond? A pilgrim? Who knows. All she knew is that she was heading her direction.

Kanji heard the crunch of gravel under boots that were not her own, instinctively turning her head towards the source of the noise. The approaching traveler was making no attempt to mask their approach, which hopefully meant they weren't a bandit. Raising a hand in greeting, the blind explorer said "Good day to you, sir or madam. What brings you down this road on this fine day?"

Duviyn Varo looked about uncomfortably. "And what are you implying
there?" He asked, not because he didn't know but because he wished
to know if the Imperial really did seem irreputable. He nudged a bit
of the glass aside with his foot. Why the bosmer even bothered trying
to pick up was beyond him. It wasn't as another bottle's broken shards
wouldn't be there by next morning. The city of Riften was such a wre-
ck that Duviyn sometimes wondered if it would ever improve.

Faulonor sniggered. "I am not implying anything, other than that you are avoiding my question by bringing up the past, is all." he stated, cutting himself yet again. These would need to be cleaned out later so they don't get infected. That would just be horrible.

Thrush smiled, raising her own hand in greeting. "Hello, fellow traveler! I am merely a bard, enjoying the sights of the hold. If I may, what brings you this far west?" The elf asked. Whe was curious about the bandages over this traveler's eyes, but decided not to push her luck, she could be a forsworn, for all that mattered.

"Exploration," Kanji said, tightening a screw on one of the four dwarven plates that made up her shield. It had come loose recently, and the jingling had started to annoy her. "Word has it that the ruin of Arkngthamz has a mysterious treasure hidden within its depths, and I would see that treasure retrieved. Would you care to join me? I could always use a set of eyes."

Thrush tilted her head slightly. "Why not? It'd make for a lovely song, plus I heard that the Jerall mountains were lovely this time of year." the elf stated. The thought of adventure was an exciting one- oh, but what if there were Centurion, or Falmer? Well, the trip there would still be nice..
