Labby(M) & White Fang(F)
I guess it could have been worse, being the reject of the pack. An albino wolf of the bloodline of Kain. Who would have thought that such a promising hunter that mated only the most coveted of females would lead to this. These were the thoughts that usually plagued the young Labby as he stared at herself in the pristine waters of the stream near the pup den where he slept. Rejected by most of the other pups in the pack due to his obvious flaws, he tended to keep to himself, not wanting to hear the mocking words of the others. This day was no different. Hidden in the shadows, bothered by the sun, Labby slept peacefully as the others played outside, stating dominance over a freshly killed rabbit that had been brought as training for the young pups.
"So here you were," came a voice from behind him.
The smell of meat accompanied the voice, and as a pale pink eye opened, Labby saw none other than White Fang, a gorgeous gray female, half the rabbit that had been brought at her paws, a proud gleam in her eyes. A skeptical look crossed the white pup, his ears flattened as he stared at her. "I am guessing that you did well in training today? Come to gloat?" he asked, an harshness he had acquired due to the constant torments of the others in his voice.
Unfazed by his tone of voice, the young pup smiled at him and sat. "Actually, you looked rather lonesome, and I thought we could share," she stated simply, no hint of sarcasm in her voice.
His eyes narrowed further with suspicion. "If this is some sort of tri-"
"Why can't we just get along?" she interrupted him, a curious look in her face.
He growled at her then turned around, not interested in what she had to say anymore. "What do you know anyways..."
"That you'll never be able to convince the others that they are wrong about you unless you stop hiding from yourself."

Truer words had never been spoken to me before. I was indeed hiding from myself, and that female, White Fang, she showed me so.As time passed by, Labby and White Fang became close friends. Due to White Fang's obvious superiority over the others, Labby even stopped getting so constantly bothered. Eventually, his weakness to the sunlight became a bit more manageable. He knew he would always be next to blind in it, but he learned to smell better, to taste better. Gaining the respect of the others, his life became more pleasant, and with White Fang's encouragement, he almost thought he had gathered a little piece of heaven.
Unfortunately, that came to an end. Wolf pups grow fast, and so they did, or at least, most of them did. Labby and White Fang remained the same. Tormented by what could be causing this, they were examined by an elder, whom soon condemned them to be labeled with an unpleasant illness, one that would not allow them to turn into full fledged hunters. PPS.
A sad smile crossed White Fang's face, and as Labby turned to look at her, a sigh escaped her. "I guess now I know," she said.

I couldn't believe it at first, but as the others gained the hunter status, and we remained the same, outcasts of the pack, White Fang slowly start to lose faith. It was up to me this time to cheer her up, it was up to me to let her know that we too could be the hunters that every wolf dreams to be."Let's just run away, make a pack for ourselves," Labby said happily, his eyes shining with excitement at his suggestion.
"How can we make a pack when we are nothing more than pups Labby?" she answered, her small body curled near the stream, the pup den empty as they were the only ones remaining.
"We are not pups. We just look like them. Come on, let's show them what we can really do. You don't need size to hunt. You don't need size to think. Just speed, strength, courage, and faith of heart. Unless of course, you would rather keep hiding from yourself."
A small smile crossed the delicate features of the female wolf, and her face turned to his, affection clear in her eyes as she nodded her response, ready to take on the challenge of surviving.

And so our training began. As we did, we grew stronger, more agile, and as good of hunters as the rest of the pack. However, as we grew in ability, she grew in shape and size. No longer the puppy looking girl I had fallen in love with, but a full grown hunter, I was expecting her to leave my side at any time and join the others of the pack, as they seemed more than willing to welcome her with open arms. Just a late grower it seemed, that's what they said about her.
White Fang never left me however, she never stopped caring. With her newfound status, she tried convincing the others of how good of a hunter I was, and how they should give me a chance. She must have said something right..."We leave for elk hunting at morning."
"Elk hunting?" he asked, incredulous. "What am I supposed to do against an elk White Fang? I can barely even nip at their hooves."
Nose gently touching mine, she gave him reassurance, and as they closed their eyes and drifted to sleep in the pup den, Labby thought with excitement at how he would never be returning to the pup den again.

The story was going to continue, but a friend of mine asked me to please leave it like that when she heard the actual ending. I had liked these two together for a while now, and I decided to finally write down their story.
@Zhen: They do make a really nice couple. <3
