She shrugged, taking a bite of the rabbit. "Any clue where our love-bird siblings are?" She paled after thinking about it.

Riftstar
The leader sat in camp, atop the pile of new boulders rounded up by a group of warriors. The charred stones had been thrown down to the bottom of the gorge and swept away by the fast-flowing river. He'd taken out Hisspaw over the past few days and taught him to hunt and fight with different strategies. Like the mighty Mudfur, Riftstar had once been a warrior before choosing the path of a medicine cat. Riftstar knew that cats were angry with him and Hisspaw because of Maplestar's death. He knew his days were numbered. Hisspaw was reaching his eleventh moon, as was the early warrior Fallencinder, and Riftstar planned to make him a warrior, give him an older apprentice, and then elect him deputy in two moons. The former medicine cat realized that the Utopia and some of his warriors were planning to kill him, believing and convincing that he was a murderer. But he was innocent; and some truly knew this.

Hisspaw looked up at Riftstar, looking worried. "What's going to happen...?" He asked softly, flicking his tail.

Riftstar
The leader faintly chuckled, curling his tail over his paws. "Well, you're going to be a warrior soon. After that, a deputy. Then, well, I will most likely be murdered by my own warriors. What a nice sequence of events . . ."

[<Terminal March>]

"I won't let them just murder you!" Hisspaw said. "If you're gonna die, you'll die with dignity.. At an old age... Right?" Hisspaw asked.

Riftstar
A faint grin outlined his muzzle. "I'm almost forty-three moons, but I feel older," he admitted. His tone then grew solemn. "But, Hisspaw, you must let them kill me. Do not interfere, or it will be your neck they'll sink their claws in."
