Your family has trained in martial arts for years. One day, you went to the ‘cursed training ground’ of Jusenkyo in China. There, despite the warnings of the Chinese guard, you fall into one the cursed springs. Now when you are doused in cold water, you turn into what originally drowned in the spring years ago. Hot water changes you back to your original form, but only until next time.

Personality: Caelan has a fiery temper towards his older brother Ranma and his father Genma, as he sees them as the main reason for his 'suffering'. Caelan is just as powerful as Ranma, if not more so. He never backs down from a fight, not even from ones with girls.
History: Caelan is the second born son of Genma and Nodoka Saotome. As his father took Ranma on a training journey, Caelan was left home with his mother. When he was five years old he set out on his own training journey, which in reality was his excuse to look for Ranma. He's been following signs of his brother and father for years until he found them in Jusenkyo. He did not originally intend to reveal himself to them and instead decided to train where they were training. When he was training, Ranma, following Genma, accidentally knocked him into the Spring of Drowned Girl. He followed him more violently since then, attacking the pair in his female form occasionally. When he came to the Tendo Dojo, he revealed his true identity as a Saotome. He was offered a chance to marry Nabiki or Kasumi by Soun Tendo, to which he violently declined. Even so, he has been living with the Tendos alongside his brother and father.
