Hollypaw looked around for her mentor, Bramblingfang. He was also the clan deputy, and was an amazing deputy. As the oldest of the apprentices, Hollypaw would become a warrior in a few moons, and she wanted to do as much training as possible so that she'd be able to pass all her assessments.

Craneleaf checked his herb stores. We need more catmint, he thought. Leafbare was coming soon, and it would bring greencough. Making his way out of camp, Craneleaf tried to remember the best place to find catmint. He wished he'd been able to train longer, but his mentor's death meant he had become the clan's only medicine cat at just 12 moons old. StarClan must have thought I could do this by myself, he thought, trying to reassure himself.
