Kaneki looked down from the sky, having smelled the scent of a Ghoul and a Half-Ghoul. As expected, it was the girl...Yuuka, she had said her name was, earlier, and the girl that lived in the apartment beside his. He still didn't know her name. "Yuuka." He nodded in acknowledgement, his lips slightly twitching in one of his small, barely noticeable smiles. Kaneki turned his head towards the other girl and nodded; he didn't know her name, so he said nothing to accompany the acknowledging head turn.

Ari caught that smile. She frowned, saddened that it wasn't toward her. He never asked her for her name and they've been neighbors's for almost a year now. Ari's finger was still bleeding but she did really care anymore.
