They wanted her to jump. Again. Seriously? She just jumped on a train, then jumped off it and now they want her to jump off the building. Were they joking? The man asked for a first jumper. No one was really elated to jump off a roof into the unknown. Catrina looked at her shoes and waited for someone to step up. A clear voice rang in the back. "Jeez, this is gonna take all day.." The feminine voice said. Catrina turned her head and an extremely tall girl pushed her way through the crowd. She was dressed in Dauntless black. Dauntless born. Catrina had the sudden urge to cover up her bright, Amity clothing. Amity was a sign of weakness. The girl pushed her way past Catrina and she didn't stop until she was on the edge. Catrina's lungs burned, and she finally released her breath when the girl said: "It's now or never.."

"Whats My Motto? Silence Is Not A Virtue. Its A Way Of Life.

"It's now or never.." Mary said loudly. Once a Dauntless Always a Dauntless. Mary peered over the ledge and closed her eyes, and waited for gravity to do it's job. Before she knew it, she tumbled down the edge, arms spread wide like an Angel ready for it's wings. She laughed. The not knowing of everything made her want more. She never wanted to stop falling. Until she hit the net. She let out a shriek of surprise and bounced a couple times before she landed completely. Her eyes were wild and she laid there for a few second before she rolled over. Mary was ready. Dauntless ready.

This had always been my favorite part.. as an initiate and as a trainer. When the initiates truly entered dauntless headquarters and initiation. I stood by the net looking up into the bright sunlight that emerged through the gap in the ceiling. As the new initiate fell I placed my hands on the net and jerked into down with a small exert of force, holding out a hand of support in case she needed it. "You alright?" I asked as common courtesy.

Theo took a slight step forward, not quite sure what to do. All of the other initiates looked incredibly nervous, everyone but the Dauntless born- they seemed to be waiting for the transfer's reactions to the jump. She looked at the others, then at the seemingly bottomless pit in the ground. A slight smile on her face, she stepped up to the ledge, her red hair fluttering lightly in the breeze. Theo brought her foot up and sent it forward, like she was walking up stairs, but instead, plunged into the pit. She laughed as she swirled through the air, her black and white Candor clothing standing out remarkably in the darkness. She shrieked with joy as she landed on the net, bouncing a few times before coming to a stop.

Knife helped out the initiates one by one, he grabbed their wrist and helped them out.


Snake climbed out of the net, grinning. That was fun!

Sage gulped and let herself fall. She didn't know what happened to the others, but didn't care. She landed in a net and a boy, not much older than her, helped her out. She jumped out and joined the others,

Catrina was jumper number ten. She had to make sure that it was safe. Initiate after initiate fell screaming or laughing then silence. "Next Jumper!" The trainer called out. Catrina perked and jogged to the front."I'm ready!" she practically shouted. The man looked at her skeptically. "Really?" He said with a mock sympathy in his voice. "Are you sure.. Amity is pretty timid.." That got Catrina going. She took a hulk step forward and curled her fist around the man's shirt and scowled. "If you ever call me Amity again, I will make sure you leave with a broken nose." she said with the ferocity of a bloodhound. She let him go. The man pressed his lips together and stepped aside. Catrina took note of how his hands were shaking and she smirked. Without hesitation, she jumped of as if she were cannonballing into a pool.

Mary rolled over and was greeted by a hand that reached for her and a disembodied voice saying: "Are you ok?" Mary regained her grace-like personality and smiled. She took the hand and pulled herself off the rugged net. When she met contact with the ground, she brushed off her clothes, and stared at the man who helped her. He was handsome and perfectly built. He had eyes that would home fishes and a smile that promised everything. Mary grew up in the eastern part of Dauntless camp, but she never met with any of the trainers. She smiled and breathed as her heartbeat lowered. Was it racing because of the fall, or of the man? t was hard to tell. "Hi.. she said quietly. Thanks for helping me. Do all initiates do that?" she asked as a joke. She stopped smiling and let her eyes speak

I stood there somewhat awkwardly as she took my hand and I helped her off of the rough net that seemed to feel so comfortable after all the hard efforts of initiation. After she seemed steady I looked up and met her soft gaze with a crystal clear one. I gave a small nod and a smile of acknowledgment "Only the smart ones" my smiled grew bigger as I complimented my own joke in my head.
