i listened to the rustling of some bushes.i crouched behind the rock i was once lounging on, and peered over to see a young tom, about my age. i had to follow the warrior code. he wasn't a swiftclan cat, and he was trespassing. narrowing my gaze, i leaped out and flung myself onto him, pinning him down while he was in shock. "what are you doing on our territory?!" i hissed, holding him down with all the force i had.

I gasped. "What are you doing? This is my den!" I growled, squirming underneath her. "Get off!" I kicked at her with my hind legs.

(It occurs to me that maybe Fog and Brightpaw could fall in love, too...)

i hissed, not giving up. i grunted, picking myself up and narrowing my eyes. stink eye usually knocks most cats off. "and it's in my territory! unless you plan on becoming one of us, you better get lost!" i hissed through gritted teeth, then hurling myself upon his back. i bit into his shoulder, then held a grip on his side.

Fog

I backed into the rosebush, hoping to dislodge her by getting thorns into her pelt. "It. Is. My. Den!" I yowled. "My mother lived here with her mother, and her mother with her father! We've been here forever!"

i sighed, thorns prickling into my neck. i crawled off the tom, but stared him down. "you wanna keep it? fine. follow me. i'll see what owlstar has to say of this." i mewed. "i'm brightpaw. you? i don't want to start a conversation, i just want your name."

Fog

I ducked my head, not looking at her. "I'm Fog..." I mumbled, feeling a bit ashamed. I wasn't usually very aggressive. But... she had attacked me.

"Yeah, that's fine. What should I do?" I asked quizzically. I was sort of annoyed that Nightblossom clearly liked Stormblaze so much.

I sat under my rosebush, zoning out. I had just eaten a large vole, which was more than enough for my small body. I was comfortable on a soft bed of rose petals. It was a bit of a chore to clean all the thorns out everyday, but it was certainly worthwhile.

Nightblossom pawed the ground "Keep him company, and ask him to take you to his 'special place', you can hunt salmon there. It's really pretty, like the type of place you'd bring your mate to" she meowed "try keeping him there for a while I want to apologize to him there" she picked her words carefully "After, you can bring a salmon to Frostfur, she already named two kits"

"Ummmm.... okay..." I mumbled. I have no idea what on earth she's talking about, but it's a chance to talk to Stormblaze. So, I might as well do it. "Where is he?"

i sighed, looking up at the sky, "don't take it personally, i had to attack you. it's the code. you were trespassing, no matter how many generations had been on these lands." i meowed back to him, padding into the swiftclan camp. walking over to the nursery, i stuck my head in. "owlstar, i found a loner on our territory! pretty good, huh? come out and see! he's got a confession about a little rosebush for you!"
