Cranefeather was spending time near the warriors' den, enjoying the shade and a tiny bit of the sun. Despite a calm expression on her face, she desperately wanted something to occupy herself. But honestly, what else could she do other than talking to other cats and messing up over her words? She watched the quiet yet buzzing with life camp and cleared her conflicting mind to make way for delight.

Mousepaw nodded once and followed behind him, her expression as unreadable as ever. Her pawsteps were very quite, as though she wasn't there. Her blank brown gaze was focused on what was ahead and she stopped when they reached the spot were she had trained a million times before.

The tom halted in his tracks once he was a little to the left of the clearing. He turned towards his apprentice and started off, " Now, since you're a little- " Dovepool stopped as he was about to say 'smaller '. In the last few moons, he'd noticed that Mousepaw disliked others commenting about her size. After a short pause as he was thinking about how to explain it to her, he started again.
" Usually, in a battle, you're facing off against one cat, but other cats may come and help the cat, and you might end up facing against two or three. If you've already pinned the cat down, try to jump off as quickly as possible, and take the two at once. This might be hard for you, but you'll get it if you practice enough. Now, first take out the cat that came into your fight by using the element of surprise, like this. " He jumped up as high as possible and twisted before landing, front paws first.
" Then, as quickly as possible, swipe at the other cat. Other moves optional. " He explained as he swiped the air with a paw. " Practice it on the air, and then we'll get another cat from camp to help you practice, if they're free. " Dovepool took a few steps back and watched Mousepaw.

Mousepaw narrowed her eyes as Dovepool spoke, getting the feeling he was about to point out her size. She unnarrowed her eyes when he stopped himself and smiled slightly but it disappeared quickly. She listened to his instructions and watched as he demonstrated what he was saying on the unseen air. She could easily picture it though. Once he finally finished talking she closed her eyes and inhaled deeply. She held it for a few seconds then breathed out. She snapped her eyes open, her expression serious and cold. Mousepaw pictured three large cats. She was standing on the one she had pinned down and Dovepool's instructions echoed through her head. She leaped backwards as soon as the two cats appeared and ran at the on her left and leaped high into the air. She imagined locking eyes with the warrior and quickly twisted her body. She landed on the warriors head, front paws first then pictured the other cat about to grab her between his jaws and throw her off. She swiped at his face, claws unsheathed, and got him dead on. Mousepaw closed her eyes and inhaled deeply. She waited a few moments then exhaled. Her eyes snapped open again but this time her expression was unreadable. "How was that?" She asked.

KoiTail carried his prey back. It had filled half the fresh kill pile, of which was now full with fat doormice.

He picked up on of his kills and walked to RavenStars den, to tell her where he'd found the food.
