Ripplesong stopped, and grabbed Craneflight's scruff. "I can't let my brother's mate die!" She thought to herself. She dragged Craneflight's body across the river and to the shore on the other side.

Hawkcry rolled his eyes. "Too bad, I'm saving your life." He stopped at the shore. "Here, let me help you swim across."
He said, padding into the river.

Cranefilight's bare burned tail dragged roughly across the burnt soil, she may be breathing.
