Percy Jackson Fan Fiction(Post Comments Here)

Postby art_dancer » Fri Apr 03, 2015 1:28 pm

Thank you for showing an interest in my writing. As stated above, this is my first attempt at Precy Jackson Fan Fiction, taking place after Blood of Olympus. Needless to say, I am using some of the characters from the Heroes of Olympus series and in no way claiming they are my own, though I will have an original character here and there. I am not a writer, really, I am just a big fan of Heroes of Olympus and wouldn't be satisfied unless the journeys continued even if I had to create them myself. Now without further adieu, here is my fan fiction and I hope you enjoy. Please PM comments, suggestions, corrections or post them here. Thanks.

Nico had finished his recovery. After what was supposed to be three days but turned into three weeks of resting in the Apollo cabin due to 'doctor's orders' Nico was ready to test out his powers. One problem, there was no one to use his powers on. Ever since they defeated Gaea, camp had been very calm, almost too calm. Nico scanned the camp for any of his friends, deciding whether or not to head back to the Apollo cabin with Will. Jason and Piper were gone, Piper had insisted on finding Leo's body so she talked Jason into flying her around any possible location it could be. Hazel and Frank were still at Camp Jupiter and were not coming to visit Camp Half Blood for another week. Finally, out of the corner of his eye, Nico spotted Percy and Annabeth. Acting as casual as possible, Nico walked over to them. Things were still a bit strange between Nico and Percy after he admitted he used to have feelings for Percy, but nonetheless Percy still acted like his normal and completely idiotic self. Nico noticed that Annabeth was carrying her souvenir from Tartarus, a sword made out of drakon bone, and Percy was holding his famous pen that transforms into a sword, Riptide. The two of them were wearing matching backpacks stuffed to the brim, they were definitely going somewhere.
"What are you to up to?" Nico asked suspiciously.
Percy's sea green eyes darted from left to right, clearly trying to think of some way out of the conversation.
"Sword fighting," he blurted out.
"Sword fighting?" Nico questioned, he could see Annabeth looking over at Percy as if saying, 'what were you thinking.'
"Uh, yeah," Percy continued, "we are heading to the training area for sword fighting."
Nico didn't believe Percy at all, he should leave trickery and deceit up to Annabeth.
"You're going to the training area yet you're heading the opposite direction, to the entrance of the camp? Where are you really going? What is going on here?" Nico asked. Normally, he wouldn't care, but the fact that they were trying to cover something up, made Nico curious. He watched as Annabeth and Percy exchanged nervous looks, knowing that he wouldn't leave them alone about this.
"Recruiting mission, nothing too exciting, Grover thinks he's found one." Annabeth explained.
Nico stands there for a moment, his cold gaze staring straight at Annabeth, waiting for her to tell the truth.
"Fine," she said, "Grover thinks the girl might be another child of Hades."
Nico tried to hide how he was feeling about that news. Great. Another sister, like I didn't already have enough.
"I'm coming with you," Nico replied simply.
"No! I mean, you can't, Percy and I only, we can handle it ourselves." She told him.
"What are you hiding from me?" Nico demanded, this was starting to get ridiculous.
"Fine," Annabeth said and sighed, "we are hiding something, the location. Nico, Grover found her the same place he found you and Bianca, we are going to Westover Hall in Maine."

When they arrived at Westover Hall, Nico realized that Annabeth left out an important fact, they were going undercover during a school dance. This could not have been more similar to when Percy, Annabeth, and Grover rescued him and Bianca from here. He was starting to have a strong feeling of déjà vu. He followed Percy and Annabeth until the school was in sight, it hadn't changed a bit. Annabeth stopped, and as if picking up on Nico's uneasiness, asked him a question.
"Are you okay with this?"
"Yes, why wouldn't I be?" He said defensively. "I'm not the little boy that you found here before, I can handle a little trip down memory lane." Even though Nico tried to convince himself, he wanted to get in and get out as soon as possible. The boy they rescued here was happy and innocent, he was nothing like Nico now, and he was not coming back. With that, Annabeth let the subject go, and they headed to where the dance was held. Once they walked inside, Nico looked around in search of someone that looked like a child of Hades.
"Which one is she?" Nico asked looking around at all the students in the room.
Percy shrugs, "I thought you'd have an idea, you are a child of Hades after all."
"You mean Grover didn't tell you what she looked like?"
"No, we thought she'd be easy to spot," Percy replied.
Nico found Percy's response offending. Did he just assume that all children of Hades are alike and easy to find?
"I guess we'll just have to start talking to people," Nico said, really not wanting to speak with others. What were they supposed to do, ask if anyone knew of a girl that was really a demigod but she doesn't even know it yet? This was going to be a long night. Even though Nico wouldn't admit it, he thought it would be best to look around for any girls wearing dark clothing or standing alone. Of course, none of the girls were alone or wearing dark clothing. Finally, he saw a girl a little bit older than him, who was about five feet five inches tall, with very pale skin. Her hair was platinum blonde with purple dyed tips and she was wearing a violet sleeveless dress. What caught Nico's attention, her eyes. He had seen unique eyes like Percy's sea green color or Jason's crystal blue, but neither of their eye colors compared to this girl's. Instead of a regular color like hazel, blue, or brown, her irises were a blood red color, though no one seemed to notice. Besides that, the girl seemed perfectly normal, she was talking to a friend, no dark colored clothing, but Nico somehow knew that she was the demigod they were looking to retrieve. He was about to get Percy and Annabeth's attention when he noticed they were dancing together. Nico sighed and decided not to interrupt them, he could handle talking to a girl. So with that thought in mind, he walked over to her.

"Would you like to dance?" Nico asked the girl. There was only one way he knew that he could get the girl away from her friends, even though that would involve human contact which he hated. The girl looked him up and down, her red eyes acting like one of those metal detectors you go through at airports.
Finally she asked, "do I know you?"
"No," Nico replied honestly, "I just thought you looked like someone who liked dancing." Part of him was hoping she'd say no, just so he wouldn't have to dance with her.
"Fine, Vanessa I'll be right back," she told her friend, though I had a feeling she wouldn't be seeing her friend for a while.
Nico offered her a hand but when she touched his hand, she cringed as if it hurt her to touch Nico.
"Are you okay?" Nico asks her a little concerned.
"Just dandy," she replies a little sarcastic.
Nico leads her onto the dance floor, then put his hands on her waist as she places her hands on Nico's shoulders. They both started to dance pretty decently, but it was clear that it was both their first times slow dancing.
"So," Nico finally interrupted the awkward silence, "there is something I need to tell you, but we can't talk here, it's not saf-"
The girl cut me off and said to him, "save the speech Nico di Angelo, I know I am different."
"How do you know my nam-"
"Look, it doesn't matter, I know you want to keep me safe, but I'm not going with you, you can't make me use my powers," she told him.
"You shouldn't be afraid or ashamed of your powers, but you have to come with me and my friends, you aren't safe here," Nico said urgently.
The girl opens her mouth to reply but suddenly some of her friends come up from behind them.
"What are you doing Vanessa?" She asked her brown haired friend with hazel eyes and naturally beautiful.
"Oh, Angel, it's really been great having you as a friend and thank you for luring some more boys here, but I'm afraid we'll have to kill Nico now, then we'll kill you," she explained to Angel. Then her and two of her friends started to surround Nico, seperating Angel from him. Nico takes out his sword wondering where on Earth was Percy and Annabeth. The three girls change into their true forms, with red eyes, fangs, flaming hair, and two mismatched legs.
"Empousa," Angel hissed darkly. "You stupid, ugly creatures!" The creatures giggle at Angel then turn their attention back to Nico, surrounding him.

4. Angel

Out of nowhere, Percy and Annabeth came into view with their swords in hand. By now, they were surrounded by several empousia, apparently they knew that Camp Half Blood would send demigods to recruit Angel. Angel studied the scene, thinking about grabbing her sword, but she knew that there was still too many of them. It was four demigods against about twenty empousia. They basically disregarded Angel, because they knew Percy, Annabeth, and Nico were the real threats. As they circled around the trio, like predators approaching on their prey, Angel reached for her bag, she knew what she had to do. Out of her bag, she found a pencil and sketchpad. They were most likely going to think that Angel was crazy, but she did have a plan, so she started drawing like crazy.
"Angel, what are you doing, run!" Nico shouted to her as he held up his sword. He summoned some skeletons and shouted orders at them as they started to attack the empousia. It didn't do much good though, every one he killed, two more seemed to appear.
"I know what I'm doing!" She yelled back at him. Angel was drawing as fast as she could, the pencil flying across the paper.
"Run! Go and save yourself!" Percy urged as he used a big wave to keep the empousia away from them. "Annabeth, quick get her out of here!"
Annabeth cut down a few empousia and made her way over to Angel who was still drawing.
"C'mon Angel, we have to get out of here, you may have thought these girls were your friends but they're very dangerous, we have to get you out of here," Annabeth explained to Angel, trying to keep calm.
"I know they're dangerous obviously, are you sure I'm not one of them too?! I do have the same eyes as them," Angel said angrily, her piercing red irises looking at Annabeth. Angel hated it when past demigods she met had her mistaken for an empousia.
"We know you're one of us and we can have time to explain this all later but right now we have to go!" Annabeth demanded pulling on Angel's arm.
Oh great, here we go again, Angel thought as Annabeth touched her. Soon after that, she plunged into a vision.

It was a nice and sunny day, the birds were chirping and everything seemed right in the world, but Angel knew better. She watched as Annabeth came into view, she was outside, with Percy, they were having a nice little picnic date. They sat near the edge of the ocean, as the baby blue waves crashed against the flawless shore and seagulls flew above them. They were in about their mid fourties, which was fairly good since most demigods die young, no explanation needed. Suddenly, out in the distance, an army of monsters approached the couple. They were caught off guard, and Annabeth was without a weapon. The two tried to flee, but the monsters surrounded them, there were too many to defeat. Percy sent huge waves towards the monsters, watching the water wash them away, but it didn't stop the inevitable from happening. One of the giants picked up Annabeth and stabbed her in the heart. They threw her in the opposite direction of the beach, and just like that, she was gone.

Angel snapped out of her vision, trying to finish her drawing. With one final move of the pencil, she said in relief, "there." She pointed to Percy and Nico as Annabeth and Angel watch them take down the multitude of empousia with ease. Once they are done, Annabeth was shocked.
"How did you- how?" She asked.
Without saying another word, Angel throws her sketchbook onto the ground and the image: Percy and Nico standing among the remains of the empousia.

"What just happened?" Nico asked.
Angel was still a little unsure herself. She knew her powers were strong, yet she hadn't attempted to do that before and was kind of surprised. Angel placed her sketchbook and pencil back in her bag.
"I just used my powers to help you kill the empousia," she explained, though it wasn't much of an explanation. "Look, I will tell you all more in detail when we get back to camp," she said.
"So you are coming with us?" Nico questioned, before Angel had said that she didn't want to come.
"Reluctantly yes and only temporary," Angel stated then attempted to start walking but she stumbled and almost fell due to using too much energy.
"Here Angel I can help you," Annabeth commented as she started to reach for one of Angel's arms.
"Stop," Angel protested. "If I'm going with you, we are going to set some ground rules. Rule one, never say my real name, I hate it so much with a burning passion, I don't even know how the empousia found out about it. Rule two, no one touch me. I do not want any human contact whatsoever, understood?" She questioned coldly, her red eyes staring straight at them. No one said anything. "Good, now let's go before more monsters show up."

Once they arrived at camp, Angel demanded Chiron to call for a head counselor meeting and confused, he did what she said. Everyone headed into the Big House and gathered around the ping pong table. Jason and Piper were back for now since they heard of the emergency meeting, but Piper was acting a bit antsy. There was one empty chair for the Hephaestus cabin head, but no one claimed it.
"Who sits there?" Angel asked, waiting impatiently to start the meeting.
The girl with the brown hair, Piper, clears her throat, and their were some tears in her eyes. "Um, that was Leo's seat, he um...is gone now, for good."
"Leo Valdez? He's dead? Interesting," Angel stated. Piper looked confused as to how Angel knew his last name, but before she could say anything Angel said, "okay let's get started then if everyone is here."
"Question, who are you and why are you in charge of this meeting? You shouldn't even be here, Nico is the head of the Hades cabin," Jason interrupted.
"How cute, perfect boy thinks I'm a daughter of Hades," Angel smirked. "I had some important news, but if you want to do a little Q and A first, I guess that's fine. I'm Angel Darcy, but if you ever call me Angel then expect it to be the last word you say, I prefer to go by Darcy, or some even call me Death Darcy, which I hate as well. I'm fifteen, though my birthday is in a few days. Godly parent wise, I'm a daughter of Thanatos, first one in a while, especially since you don't even have a cabin for him here, I mean really."
"Is that how you-?" Annabeth started but Angel interrupted her.
"Yes, yes, I'm getting to that. I have quite a few powers, though I wouldn't tell you all of them. You see, like my father, I have a way that I can kill people, not through touch, but through my drawings, though I rarely do it because it takes up so much energy, like shadow-travelling for Nico," she stated and watched as Nico looked a little discomforted by the mention of his name. "Anyways, another thing I can do is predict/experience people's deaths or see visions of their death through multiple methods. That leads me to what I'm hear to tell you. Nico was wrong, whether he told you wrong or was stupid enough not to know, he was wrong. You're friend, Leo Valdez, is alive. He is in danger, though, he is still alive."
