She watched wide eyed as he sort of insulted the girls. She worriedly bit her lip as they hissed at them. She nodded to Thomas and followed him inside. She heard one of the girls from behind "Watch your back weirdo". She swallowed nervously and fondled with a silver ring on her right ring finger.

Adira had just made it close enough to the island to where she could stand when she heard a feminine voice. She quickly looked up, spotting a girl around her age up on the shore. After frowning slightly, as she had not seen her before, she glanced towars her paddlebord, just to make sure it was still there. "Hello," she spoke, making way through the water closer as she waved back and gave a small smile.

Adrian shook his head slightly, though from his relaxed position in the sand it wasn't visible. Figuring she hadn't seen it, the hybrid flipped back over and pulled himself to a sitting position, looking back to her. "No. My body's more human than that of a full merfolk, so I'm not sure if it could handle the pressure." He replied honestly with a small shrug, glancing out to the waves. "Plus I can't really navigate in the dark" he added, leaning back once more on his hands.

"Oh, right. I forgot you're a hybrid, you probably couldn't withstand the water pressure or see as well as I could.... no offense." I say, shrugging.

Lola smiled, her eyes lighting when she saw the different covers for some of the movies. Her eyes landed on a certain movie; "Finding Nemo." "What about this one?" She inquired, pointing to the disc that she had seen. Of course the mermaid would choose a movie that had sea creatures in it. Though, she had seen a movie that was titled "One Hundred and One Dalmatians" which looked really cute too. Maybe she could watch that movie with Jason some other time. There were way too many movies to choose.

"Bullies deserved to be bullied." Thomas muttered, holding the door open for Larkai. Once she had entered, he shut the door behind them and walked over to the counter. Even though it was not a date, he decided to pay for Larkai. "Size nine." He told the worker his shoe size. While he waited, he leaned against the counter and peered over at Larkai.

Daniel yelped, feeling the water droplets splash onto him. He released a few silent Spanish curses, hoping to dry off before he could turn into a mermaid. In a matter of seconds, his lower half had turned into a tail. He laid on the sandy shore, waiting for him to become completely dry, so his legs would return. He frowned at the water before looking over his shoulder. Good, no one was around, and it was too dark to see much of anything. "That wasn't cool, man." He huffed under his breath, wondering if the creature in the water would appear.

Willow tensed up as the girl spoke " Hello" she quickly replied, she hadn't expected the girl to come over.

Adrian chucked at her comment, but simply nodded. Although at times it was annoying being what he was, such as now, he wouldn't really want to be anything else. He had a human life as well as one in the ocean, and he was satisfied. "You live near that coral reef with the others?" He questioned curiously.

Jason watched her as she looked over the movie titles before settling on one. Looking down to see it was Finding Nemo, he couldn't help but smile. "Sure, that one's cute," he replied with a chuckle. Taking it out of its case, he slid it into the small slot on VCR, which somehow his father had attached to the bottom of the tv. It took a moment before the screen lit up and the adds at the beginning of the disk started to play. "Just gotta skip these," he commented, grabbing the remote and fastforwarding through them.

Adira noted how the other girl tensed, but just ignored it, unsure what to make of it. Perhaps she wasn't wanted here, but she still had to get her board afterall. Finally making it back to the shore, she pulled her hair to the side and wrung some of the water from it before looking back to the girl. "I'm Adira," she spoke, pausing for a moment before tilting head slightly to the side in thought. "If you don't mind me asking, what are yon doing way out here?" She questioned curiously, glancing around the shore in search of what she had came over on.

"No. I love the deep very much, and I can see in the dark quite well, so I live down there." I flick some water with my metal- colored tail. "So, tell me about human life, it sounds very intresting."
