Neera wriggled out from under the bush and ran into a random den. She curled up in the darkest corner.

(( yes, much. )) Jay awoke to the sound of rustling in the grass. He stretched, and went off to get Sapphire.

Aurora, scented the little pup in her den. I seem to be a foster mother.[/i she thought in her head. She opened her eyes and looked at the pup, but just smiled and closed her eyes again. [i]Ah, I like motherhood.

Sapphire stirred hearing steps. She didn't get up, unsure of who it was.

" Sapphire, you there? " calls Jay, close to her, yet not smelling her over the stench of mint.

[ShadowWhisper]

Sapphire stopped and spun around. Her dusty blue eyes looked horrified. "Don't take me home, please. I'm not done out here yet. I still have more to do today."

*Imelda shook her head* Dont worry I won't. I know you like to have a mental map.

Finally smelling Sapphire over the mint, Jay prods Sapphire to make her get up.

Sapphire opens her eyes. She gets up shakily, scenting Jay. With a yawn, she says, "Hello. I'm ready to start. I'm sure the cold air will wake me up." She then whispers in her mother's ear. "Going out. Won't be long. Jay will care for me." and she goes back to Jay, a smile on her face even more so after hearing her mother mutter in reply, "I trust you, Safie. Be good for him. I know he'll keep you safe."

Jay pads to a clearing and sits down. " First, I will teach you how to hunt. What you do is try and hear even the quietest of sounds, and follow that sound. Also, sense the vibrations of the prey's heartbeat, and use your sense of smell to help you. " says Jay.

[marmelium]

Sapphire sits down. She strained her ears to hear the sounds of any prey scuttling in the snowy ground. She wouldn't be surprised not to find much, and she could blame it on the season. "Example?" she whispered.
