I thought they were in southern Canada though .-. We really need to confirm a geographical location for the Dome, so we can know what the terrain is like, what the weather should be like, and what plants and animals will be in the Dome.

EDIT
Okay, I've done a bit of research and since its been decided that both grizzly bears and wolves can be found in the Dome, it must be located somewhere in British Columbia or Manitoba, assuming it's located within a southern province.

Manitoba would be the safer bet. There probably can't be to many people concidering deadly animal human hybrids.
And humans can pass through the dome. If it's in a denser region of Canada than there is the possibility of campers.

Though ( this is from me so I could change it ) it has been hinted that although it's rare. Alisa has seen seals.
But that would require being very close to the coast and brings on a whole new slew of problems.

The animal life seen could be the result of a lab accident; like all of grace's wolves or bears escaped or something while they were first preparing the dome, and before any hybrids had arrived.

It could be possible that the scientists introduced different animals and plants into the dome so the hybrids wouldn't starve or maybe to confuse them about the location of the dome, making escape harder.

lol guys I don't think we need to be perfectly realistic on everything I mean this roleplay is set in a more or less futuristic setting so we can tweak the world to be the way we need it. Who knows how much may change in just ten years. And besides, with scientists who are able to morph humans and animals together I'm sure they can find ways to grow fruits and things in cold weather for herbivore hybrids or something lol

1) I like research.
2) the scientist have proven many times they honestly don't care.
There is food for herbavores. Just. Not mandrians.

I'm sorry and I understand what you are getting at Lion but even with great expanses in science you can't change nature. Wild fruit bearing plants wouldn't grow in this climate.

The problem with doing that is that the plants and animals introduced into the dome won't STAY in the dome. They have to have come from outside.

Also I found somewhere.
Still looking for Brittish Columbia but in Canada there is a decent sized animal reserve for Caribou. Caribou = Wolves.
And possibly bears. There are loads of rivers and lakes around it and it's so far out there satalites can't get good pictures of it. That I've found at least.
No cities around it, just nature. Perfect for what we need.

Brittish Columbia is like. 88% mountains. At least where wildlife reserves are. There is one that may work though, Spatsizi Plateu Wilderness provincial. Looks like ther is a bit of flat land. But you don't find Caribou, they like tundra.

And I'm sorry I type so much but it's good for a frame of reference and I would rather be accurate though this is a roleplay about human/ animal hybrids.
Changing the human genome and creating chimeras is easier than we think it's just EXTREAMLY unethical and scientist can't get like, any, funding for it.

Well I mean this roleplay kinda takes place in the future and unless you can see the future, it's not going to be completely accurate. I already had Serena using an x-raying machine thing that I literally just made up LOL so I don't see why we can't have some fruit growing on trees there? o-o

If you do have it be something like pears please.
A tropical fruit would be next to impossible to grow in the given climate.
Pear may survive on the tundra. And it is early spring just.

I'm sorry it really really annoys me.
Just.
Nature.
If you search you'll find loads of plants that will grow. There is no need to introduce a new plant species into the dome area. Controlling it would be next to impossible and would Jack up the food chain.

Sharky has a point about the tripical fruit in th given climate. If we're going to stay realistic, the. We already know that our lovely whit oats don't care a smigeon about how nature is supposed to be- so, why can't they have genetically engineered plants just like they've manipulated the human genome?

Creating tropical plants that survive in the tundra could serve as a food source in an war zone with little naturally availible resources. And, Princess has a point too. This is the FUTURE- if we wanted to pick an geographic area in northern Canada that has most of what you want ready- just create some past cataclysmic event that drove all the people away, or changed the landscape to one more fitting for the wildlife you hope to attract.
The event that drive people away- and kept them away- could be as simple as rumors of the area being haunted due to the sounds that emirate from the area- half human, half animal sounds would be pretty spooky. Or even a mass government takeover of the area and the forest around it, so the lix population can't come it- eventually becoming like a Canadian area 51
