Regarding a suggestion

So you all know whats gone on with Makoatls and Kiamaras right? I've just gotten questions about if that was going to ever happen, but thats the kind of thing I WON'T do unless the community has enough positive thought about the idea. I don't ma the species would leave CS- there would just be a DA group for them where SOME could be sold. But for every one sold by an artist, they would have to do a free adopt on here. II'm not looking to leave anybody out, but I figured I'd just address it real quick and right now.

that'd be cool, although with some people who don't have dA don't exactly have a chance and it would mean the adopts made would be slower. i suppose it could work.

Idk if that's such a good idea... I mean, I don't have a dA and won't until I don't know how long, and other users I'm sure are in the same position as me. Frost is right that that would probably make the adopts slower, too. This is just me though.

excellent points~ but i will point out there will always be free adopts. 1 free for every sold. they wouldnt be able to make another sold until they made another free one. Simas will never completely move.

i think that sounds cool, but thats just me... i do spend a lot of time there, personally!
also doing a JM, might not last long since my laptop can get laggy

No thank you, I feel as even if just partially something like that would make simas lose a lot of its community plus i highly doubt they would do well on da, Simas are no kias or whatever.... I can't see simas selling for much, Adopts from the main page of simas get about 1-3 maybe 10 ((if lucky)) pages of people trying out yet things like kias get anywhere from 10 to 100((When no page limit, Etc)).... Huge difference.

Another thing is that artists would be more likely to put way more effort into simas they would sell well most likely making rather bland ones for the free adopts, Leaving users to can't pay to buy simas feeling rather unspecial compared to those who can.

Though i don't like the idea, I will still be fine if you decide to do a trial run on da or something to see how that goes. Though I do feel that simas should be more active and popular before anything like this is even tried xD

i personally doesn't like this idea, I'm just generally not that for species who have started out as free adopts on here to just go over somewhere else and start offering adopts for payment even if there are still an equal amount of free adopts. I just see it this way, that the species was made here and the majority of those who have come to fall for the species most likely won't have the access to ways to pay for adopts or have an account on the site to begin with which will make them miss out on a lot that the species have to give.

I'm also quite a bit against this since the species was made to have free adopts so everyone would have the possibility to enter for whatever adopt they fall for and have a chance other then just having option to half of the adopts if they don't have the access to the payment required. I have been through this myself which have made be take a big step back form a species I used to like since I didn't have the access to money to pay what was required to get an adopt i liked and it broke me quite a bit.

I don't know, it just feels like we'll be kicking out a lot of people form the community with making simas a partially paid adopts and partially free adopts. It will be like putting restrictions on some people for what simas they could try for whilst having the paid ones go to those who have the required payment rather than who can show their care for the character it is

Well good thing simas wouldn't sell for much since I dont expect or want them to. I know simas has died down a bit but exposure on DA might bring that up, you know? I was already going to make a group just for peoples art. Might as well? But yeah even if selling goes througj - it would never be much. I will not isolate anyone

In my opinion, I'd rather not have this happen. As fluffy said, I believe artists may favor paid sima's over free ones, leaving the people who can't/wont pay with bland and unliked sima's. I've never really liked the idea of paid adopts, since they're only requirement is to show up with the cash/points/etc., and not to actually show their love and care for the character itself, and not just the design.

I think that a general group on da sounds great, where we can share art and the likes, but to actually move them (partially) over there isn't something i'd go in favor of.
