Minnowpaw

And then Thornwind had hauled himself nearly right on top of her in order to attack the fox. Still, she felt a little squished. Her claws loosened as the fox tried to get Thornwind off and she fell off, right under it's paws. Minnowpaw looked at it's paw. It was right there, waiting for her to bite. So she did. Minnowpaw latched onto it's paws and bit as hard as she could. Hopefully she was helping Thornwind.

"Hi Rabbittail." She purred a greeting. "How were you?" The medicine cat dropped the herbs and looked at him.

thornwind :

finally the fox threw Thornwind off and Minnowpaw. Thornwind hit a tree. Pain seared through his back. He pretended like he was dead and the fox walked up to him. Then he takes the fox's neck and it whimpered a little before starting to back off but still willing to fight.

Mistytail
Mistytail watched Rabbittail talk to Riverspirit. She grinned in amusement. She looked away, not wanting to be caught watching, and then continued to groom her fur.

He smiled nervously. 'I'm fine thanks...' He tried to find an excuse to spend time with her. 'Do... Do you need help with sorting those herbs?' He said, nervous, but enthusiastically.

As Thornwind hit the tree, she gasped and ran at the fox, launching herself onto its back, sinking her teeth into the back of its neck.

[frost.]

PLAYING THE FOX

Snarling and biting everyone possible, I lashed out at a small cat. Soon another cat joined in on the fight and started clawing me. I couldn't handle much more. I kept on growling and fighting back but I kept on falling backwards. Soon I would run.

Minnowpaw

Minnowpaw watched with huge eyes. Was he dead? But then Thornwind took hold of the fox's throat. She let out a beath of relief before charging the fox again. She was probably no more than annoyance to the fox but if it distracted the fox for Thornwind, it helped. She bit at it's paw, her teeth clamping onto it. The fox then lashed out at her, catching the 'paw in the side. She flinched but clung to it's paw.

Riverspirit

Riverspirit chuckled lightly at his apparent nervousness. "I suppose." She purred. "All you need to do is seperate the old, brittle, or damaged herbs into a pile. Leave the good ones right where they are but the old ones we'll take out of camp."

thornwind :

Thornwind yowled at Minnowpaw, "Let go!" Leaping at the fox and clawing it as viciously as possible. Biting and clawing everything possible. Soon the fox's attention was drawn to Thornwind. Still laying at the fox it started to run away. Yowling with happiness Thornwind started it chasing it towards the edge of the border. This wasn't done until the fox was GONE.

The fox flung her off of its back powerfully, she landed on her side. She didn't want to get up, so she just lay happy that the fight was over. She watched Thornwind chase it of, and she smiled hoping no one was to badly injured.

He smiled, still nervous and started sorting the herbs. 'So how's your day so far?'

Minnowpaw

At Thornwind's command, she let go, watching as he pursued the fox. She didn't move and crouched on the ground, reeling. She'd fought a fox! The apprentice was elated and terrified at the same time. After a moment, the pain of the fox's scratch drew her attention. As injuries went, her's wasn't even bad. It was just a little scratch after all. It still stung pretty horribly though.

"So far so good." She replied eyeing him carefully. "I don't bite you know." She remarked. "I'm a medicine cat. It's against my rank and very nature." Riverspirit nosed through her stock of marigold and glanced at him.

Thornwind finally reached the border. The fox was clear over the other side. He kept a fast pace back to Featherdawn. Adrenaline still pumping through Thornwind's veins not allowing him to notice his wounds from the fox bites. Rushing over to Minnowpaw, "Are you okay?" Looking at her wounds he notice the bite was pretty bad. Still being kit sized he picked her up by her scruff, not caring if she complained. Minnowpaw needed help.
