Rykor felt excited as she spoke more. "Well," he paused, glancing around. "I think a nice turkey leg sounds good." He said, smelling the legs cooking from here. she was ready to jump out and save Zephry but stopped when the Doberman growled and pointed the dog. she glanced at the truck, nodding. alright.. come on cali, you got this she thought, urging herself to force her past back and run to the car. she put her paws on the back and barked, "im here to get you out, don't worry!" she jumped, trying to reach the latch. Hey noise bumped it a bit but she stopped when the car for opened and closed. another catcher walked around the truck. He reached down to Cali, making her yelp and run back to the bushes. "there's another one!" she barked to Zephry.


Korren

he looked up as the car turned into a dusty road. "the pound.." he whispered, as if those very words could send a chill down anyone spine. when the car came to a stop, Korren looked out from the cage. "where are we?" he said quietly. Suddenly a small dog came to the back. when she said she would get them out Korren felt slightly hopeful. this dog was too small and there was another dog catcher in the car. "no no! get out before you get caught too!" he warned.

He cursed angrily, snarling at the catcher again. "Cali," he barked. "We have to lead them away, I can get the latches on the cages open but the catchers have to be gone!" He growled. "Get ready to run!" He called as the other man came towards him with the rope. He dodged away from it, meeting Cali at the bush. "Come on," he said. "Slow pace, make them think they can catch us on foot." He said before running off and leading the catchers away with Cali at his side. "Don't fall too far behind, one has the rope," he warned with a pant as they ran paw for paw. "I'm going to swerve away soon and they'll keep going after you, can you handle finding a place to hide and wait for me?" He growled.

she looked up at Zephry with fear in her eyes. forcing herself to be brave she swallowed hard and nodded. soon they were running slowly away from the car. "ok, but what if it doesn't work?" she asked, not wanting Zephry to leave her side. what if she got caught? what if she ended up in a dead end? her tail tucked beneath her as she ran, glancing behind to see the two catchers chasing after them. this bright flash backs to Cali's memory. Horrible ones. they flashed across Cali's eyes and she squeezed them closed, careful not to run into anything.

I walk over and paw at the latch on the gate until it clicked open. Whenever I wanted to let someone in, I did this. My owners didn't realize it was a simple enough lock that I could open it.

Lady licked her jaws nervously, "Is there anyway to get out?" She asked. She felt the car stop and she began clawing frantically at the door to her cage. She stopped and looked at the lock, "The locks on the outside.." She muttered to herself. She tried reaching her paws through the the cage but it didn't work, she whimpered softly, "I can't open it." She sighed.

Nina

Nina tilted her head, "Where do we get them?" She asked. She might try but if it was in a human den.. She wouldn't. I know I want to do more things but that's kind of pushing it. she thought as she stifled a growl.
