The small pup lowered his ears until they pressed against his skull. Hearing the other dog speak, Jay moved a few paces closer out of respect then plopped his backside down. He had to crane his neck up to look at him, even as he wasn't too close. "Hello..." he spoke quietly. Axel was huge compared to the pup, which scared him. However, being a malamute Jay may at one time surpass him, if they both lived that long. "I-I'm Jay," he replied, stuttering slightly.

Knox padded through the barrier and out into the partial forest. He was heading toward the city, checking if any other dogs were in the area, or if wolves had popped up. It was highly unlikely that they would be around, but it was also unlikely that the world would have went to crap back then. So it wasn't as unlikely as it seemed. The dog grunted and broke into a trot padding out of the forest and traveling across a parking lot to enter the inner city, which was left to crumble and die. The plants had already taken over, flowing from the forest and making their way up buildings. Some windows had already been broken by the enlarging plants, and now house some animals that hadn't died yet.

Axel nodded and nudged the pup to his paws. He liked that the pup was showing respect, surely a pup of his breed would rank as a fighter someday. His stumpy tail started to wag slightly.

Even as Axel didn't nudge him that hard, Jay stumbled, having not expected it. He quickly looked up to the other dog, now right above him, with wide eyes. Hearing his tail start to wag the pup relaxed a bit and jumped to his feet. He quickly circled the other dog before stopping behind him, looking curiously to his short tail. Crouching the front half of his body to the ground, he reached his paw out and hit it, his nose scrunching up in confusion. "Hey what happened to your tail, did someone bite it off or something?" He questioned quite seriously.

Cyris jumped slightly as she heard a bang but quickly realized it was an empty trashcan knocking over in the wind. She let out a small chuckle, cursing herself for being so paranoid. After pausing to glance around again, she continued on her way through the city. Now that she was further in the scent of other dogs was much stronger. "Must be a pack around," she commented quietly to herself. Although she knew she should turn around and leave the way she came, she couldn't pull herself away from her curious searching. Maybe if there was a pack that meant food was easier to find around here.

venice gave a sheepish smile and pinned her ears lightly against her head." my apologies, it's a force of habit. curse my mother's teachings. " she said, her gaze falling to the ground before back up at sheldon. her ears perked when he called her pretty and felt her ears get hot, but did her best to shake it off. she nodded in agreement with his statement about it being nice having another collie around.

Knox continued to pad through the city, walking around fallen objects, and jumping over small sink holes in the street. A scent of another dog flooded his nose, causing him to flatten his ears. Yet he was slightly curious, which would sometimes get him in trouble. The dog climbed up onto a black S.U.V that was conveniently sitting there, probably never to be used again. His blue eyes scanned along the city, looking for any source of life.
