Lacy smiled to herself up at the sky and decided to go on a hunt. She quickly stretched, then started to aimlessly wander the city. She stuck her nose in the air, trying to catch the scent of any kind of prey. She soon caught the scent of a rat wandering though some trash

{ Eli and Ollie are open, the two are currently together, somewhere in pack territory }

Ollie sat down promptly, her bottom hitting the ground a bit harder than she had expected. A small yip escaped her and she silently cursed herself for it. Eli had been trotting behind his larger companion and hadn't noticed her sit down, so of course the clumsy fur ball ran right into the back off her, falling lightly onto his face. Being used to this kind of falling, he simply got up and shook himself. He then proceeded to flop beside Ollie, letting out a small bark of joy as he did so. Ollie eyed the pup, squinting her light blue optics at him before snorting at him. Eli glanced at her and snorted back, not quite knowing what the gesture meant but wanting to be just like Ollie. The female mutt rolled her eyes and nudged the pup lightly. Despite being very light, the little dachshund fell over, quickly getting back up and barking angrily at Ollie.

Sara - 3 yrs. - lead patrol - border collie - open - trying to reach Ollie and Eli

I trotted back and forth as I stood in the ruins of what had once been. I sniffed a little round rock, which I had not seen before. I backed away as I realized somebody had marked their territory. I wanted to respect that. I kept looking in my sector, until I heard a small dog barking at an older one. I soon saw it was Eli and Ollie. I came closer, keeping an eye on my sector. "What's going on?"I asked respectively. I stood and waited for an answer. It was my job to keep them in line. Well, not necessarily but I felt as "Mother Patrol" I should. I barked to the little one to make him stop.


Varsity - 4 months - pup - schnauzer mix - open

I sat in the corner waiting for S.V. to finish her work. "S.V." I called out in a high pitched yip. She didn't here me. She was too busy sniffing a rock. She backed away. She knew I marked my territory. I laughed to myself. Not quite, I guess. She didn't know it was me. I started running towards her to tell her I tricked her but she got preoccupied. I stopped in my tracks and sighed. "Oh well, I'll just chase my tail until she gets back." I did so. It was fun. I even yelled a few times to get her attention. She still didn't seem to notice.

Ollie's ears perked up slightly as she eyed the border collie tentatively. "Pardon?" Ollie asked softly her tail swishing lightly against the dusty ground. "Nothing is going on." She softly barked out, resting her tail around Eli and watching the lead patrol a bit cautiously. She hadn't talked to Sara before, but the fact that she had barked at Eli made her dislike the collie a bit already. Eli was quite surprised that the female had barked at him and he promptly stopped, lowering his head lightly.

I stepped back as soon as I had realized what I had done. "I'm sorry," I bowed my head in sincere apology to try and show I could be trusted. I sat with my tail between my hind legs. "I really didn't mean to do that. Things have been so hectic since we've discovered the humans. As lead patrol I have a lot of responsibility. I was only assigned recently as head when the previous head went missing. And we can only imagine the worst." I looked off to the distance, trying to remember him. It was difficult, we hardly spoke. He knew I was there though. He knew I existed. He was my father. I shook it off and stood back up on my legs. I had small treats in the corner for [color=#000000]Varsity, I had hoped he hadn't smuggled them all into his small mouth. I brought one over.[/color] "Please accept this," I looked behind me for [color=#000000]Varsity. I wanted him to introduce himself. He was new to the pack. I found him on the streets.[/color] "Varse!"



Varsity - 4 months - pup - schnauzer mix - open

I was called over, and quickly obeyed. I hadn't spoken to her in almost a day. I think. My sense of time is off. "Yes?" I asked, trying to maintain a calm front. On the inside I was bouncing. She wanted to introduce me. I don't know why I am so excited. Maybe it is because she accepted me. "Hello!" I ran around them, losing it. "Hello! Hello!" SV nudged me to calm down. I did as she told me, but it was hard.

Albert walked sloppily towards the other dogs, but stopped a certain distance away he lifted his head to the air and caught their scent on the wind, his ears perked up a little, but his tail stayed low as he wagged it softly. The large Wolfhound sat and watched the other dogs speak with each other. He did not expect anyone to come to him, he was an omega, his body basically radiated off word 'submissive'. Albert was happy though, happy that other dogs had formed together to make packs and try to survive, and he was perfectly happy with his situation, being the lowest part of the pack or not, he was just thrilled to be in a pack.

The large dog's tongue rolled out of his mouth as he began to pant and thump his tail on the ground slightly when he saw a couple of dogs eating some food. Albert moved slowly as he got up and trotted over to where Knox and Midnight were talking.

Ollie tilted her head and then rolled her eyes a bit, nudging Eli lightly. The young pup perked back up and gave Sara a curt smile,then turning his attention to Varsity. "I understand, the stress can get to the best of us. I surely hope the previous lead is alright, but whether I can believe that myself is a bit undecided." Ollie said softly, pressing her ears down against her head just for a moment. As Varsity came over, Eli perked up. He hadn't seen another pup in a while. "Hi! I'm Eli!" He barked out happily, his stubby tail wagging to show his excitement. Ollie chuckled lightly, smiling at the other pup. "Hello young one, I'm Ollie." The husky mix said with a smile.

Knox grunted fishing his rabbit, licking his chops. He didn't understand why this German Shepherd wanted to talk to him so badly, and he really didn't know what to do about it. Apparently she can't take a hint either so, the brute was overall stuck with her. He flicked his tail and scratched behind his ear, still overall bored.

Aurora took her morning walk threw a area of flowers on the far west side of the park. It had many trees but flowers at the sides of the trail. She walked along the trail, her blue eyes looking around at the flowers. This was the one place where the delta felt at peace, where the world didn't go to crap. The husky's eyes sparkled in the reflection of the sunlight, a she took in the scent of the flowers. Aurora padded over to her favorite area, with white roses with red trims. She loved how the they looked and smelled, it kind of remind her of her mother. -open
