why does it take so long for my posts to show up

whenever I post something it says something about pending approval and doesn't show up for many hours, why?

this showed up immediately, but on rp forums it takes a really long time

If you have any pictures in your posts, they will need to be approved first to ensure that art theft is not being committed.
