I'm not sure exactly but I think they grow backwards and get younger.

You might want a second option though.

I think it is because the dog can turn back into a puppy (it has never happened before in CS (i think) )

It means they are born elderly and don't grow at all. Quite like pps but pps is born an infant and never grows
