How do you get Furnipets? Do they just transform some of your furnipets for the day, or what?

Edit: Ha, just noticed what they do to your avatar.

Some of your p e t s might transform into furniture for today,yes.
For example,if you go to the Archives > 2008 > Christmas,scroll down until you find the fox-like d o g.
(I can't post images or correct C S links right now apparently... So it's the fox-like d o g above the fox-like sitting c a t. Just scroll down until you find it.)
But now,the Hollyfox d o g is like this,kinda like some plant vase:

Just wondering, what is your guys favourite blended pet?
Mine are definitely the Coon-Joker and the Sun-Target!
I'm hoarding the Sun-Target because they are beautiful ;u; And also because the Coon-Joker would be pretty hard to hoard xD
