Jessi opened her eyes when she heard Syth crack the water bottle cap, weakly turning her head to look at him as she listened to his words, trying to smile back at him when he kissed her forehead but unable to manage it. Instead of answering him, which she wasn't sure she could actually do at the moment, she weakly, and clumsily pushed herself up to a sitting position, still tired from having nearly had her life ended. Her hand reached out for the water bottle, closing around the bottle and bringing it over to her before opening it and tipping her head back slightly as she put the top to her lips, greedily but slowly drinking the precious liquid, then lowered it back, closing it clumsily as she squeezed her eyes shut against the pain of having swallowed the water. She sucked in a greedy breath of air when the pain passed before looking over at Syth, feeling a bit more revived from the water. "I..I don't think I ever want to leave this room alone ever again," she whispered raspily, clutching the blanket as she squeezed her eyes shut again before looking at Syth. Her hands trembled as they worked to open the water bottle once more.
"I'll..try for as long as I can," Lillian told Claire quietly, looking down at the girl, "but I'll have to leave sooner or later," she knew it would be best not to lie to the girl.

Syth nodded slightly, releasing the water bottle when she took it from him and silently watched her take drinks of the water. He sighed softly as he slowly rose to his feet, then sat down on the bed beside her, and looked over her, "I know this isn't going to sound great, but I'm not going to let you leave alone again, not until we get out of here," he mumbled quietly as he examined her for a long while, "I love you, Jessi, and I promise, all these problems here will go away once I get us out of here," he promised in a soft whisper as he leaned over and closed her forehead again, then leaned back and silently watched her open the water bottle again. He sighed softly, watching her for a long while longer, before he glanced down at his lap. He felt guilty, she'd almost died again, the beatings from the bullies seemed to be getting worse, she kept getting so close to death.

So what if I can't forget you?
I'll burn your name into my throat
I'll be the fire that'll catch you
What's so good about picking up the pieces?
What if I don't even want to

Peeta chuckled and leaned down, his forehead against Angela's. He looked into her eyes lvingly, the spark in his chest turning into a burning flame. He kissed her passionatly for a long moment, the rest of the world seeming much less important, the way is always seemed when he was around her. It was odd to Peeta, not thinking of anything but one person. But it was Angela, which made it so natural it wasn't even somehting he understood conciously. He pulled away to catch his breath quickly, then retunred his lips to Angela's.

Rally held her hand tight in his, not realizing how tight his grip was. Rally wasn't strong, like Peeta or Darius, but he had his streagths like anyone else. Except his weren't talking, or picking fights. They were simp;y things no one else stopped to notice, like how thoughtful he was or how he listened more than he spoke. God gave you two eyes, two ears, and one mouth, right? He simply observed. Looking down at Leah, he studied her beautiful hair, seeing the change. He ntocied how different it looked in the sunlight with a smile, staring down into her deep eyes.
September won't you bring me some rain again?
This sun is melting my skin,
And I would give you anything to feel something else
September falls away 'till I'm broken, I just hate the sound.
And I can feel the water changing me, it's changing me for good.
Bite down, hard. Bite down.

Leah smiled, catching Rally staring down at her, and began to blush, the color contrasting against her pale skin. "So, what had you said back at the Cafe?" She asked again, not sure if he had heard her the first time. She glanced off down the path, then back up at Rally, smiling brightly with unmeasurable pleasure.

Rally stared at her for a moment longer, then suddenly snapped out of the trance Leah seemed to put him in. He shook his head, as if to clear it, then smiled, looking forward. "What's your favorite food?" He asked curiously. not remembering his orignal question. The path was very familer to him, just the person next to him made it all the more bright.

Darius fallowed the pair, a sick smile on his face. He fallowed very quietly, not making a single sound.

"Apple Cinnamon pie." Leah replied quickly, smiling. She had prepared for that question, still knowing there were many more to come. He seemed like the kind of guy who was curious beyond a certain boundary, but that was far from where they were for now. She was like that too, but more secluded when it came to asking questions.

She turned to Cody. "When I was little, my dad and mom abused all of us. It got so far that when I was 10, he beat my little sister to death." She said, anger flashing in her eyes.
{{ 'Cause you were born to be my baby
Baby I was made to be your man
We've got something to believe in
Even if we don't know where we stand
Only God will know the reasons
But I bet he must've had a plan
'Cause you were born to be my baby
And baby I was made to be your man
'Cause you were born to be my baby
And baby I was made to be your man}}
{ Bible verse of the day 12/10/13: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing would be made that has been made." ~John: 1-3

Rally laughed and nodded, definatly in agreement. His mom used to make the best apple pie...he sighed and looked away suddenly. trying to fight back the onslought of memories that cam flooding into his mouth. He rubbed circles on the back of Leah's hand with his thumb, trying to keep from showing emotion on his face. He did a good job, because his face was expressionless and blank.
