Roleplay group expectations
This is not at all set in stone. If you excel in some areas, and do not meet the bar in others, I may still allow you to be in a higher group.
Beginner:• Must be able to post pictures. Since I do not want to limit anyone from joining, I will allow anyone to be in this group.
Intermediate:• Must have a basic understanding of animal anatomy, and show it in their art ( mistakes and stylistic changes are fine ).
• Majority of images are shaded, though lighting mistakes are okay.
• Attempts landscape backgrounds occasionally. Do not have to be very detailed.
Advanced:• Very good understanding of anatomy (stylistic changes are fine, and a few mistakes are allowed, but not as many as intermediate), and is shown in their art.
• Images are shaded, with little mistakes in shading and a good variety of shading (does not just set the light always shining directly in the face of the subject, ect.).
• Does landscape backgrounds frequently, when necessary, and they are well shaded and detailed.
Auditions and Purges: Every once and a while I will do what I call a ‘purge’. Purge, by definition, means to remove, or get rid of people undesirable. And… that’s how I use it. I can’t have a billion inactive members! So purges happen frequently, they will require you to draw something (I will try to supply a few ideas) within a given deadline. If you do not submit an image and do not message me asking for more time or explaining why you can not submit, you will be purged (or removed) from this group. You are free to apply again any time you want, and personally I know how it is to lose interest in things as I do often, so I will not really hold it against you. Or at least try to… I am human and get my feelings hurt sometimes ^^;
DO NOT FRET. These purge images will not affect placement, though I will chew you out if you do not draw for longer than 5 minutes on it (and it shows), they will not be used to move you down to a lower group. However, if they are amazing… I may just move you up to a higher one! So seize that opportunity and show me what you got! It can only help, right?
Auditions are much more formal. There will be a deadline, and unless you talk to me personally and I excuse you from needing to post something, not participating WILL AFFECT YOU. I will either move you down (if you are in advanced), or chew you out again, if you are simply amazing and absolutely can not be in intermediate. As with purges, I will give some ideas each time. Remember to refer to the ‘requirements’ for each group to get a GENERAL idea of what effort level you should put forth - I am not a stickler for this kind of thing. I prefer if you do NOT do images of my characters, as I tend to think everything of them is amazing. Plus it seems sort of like sucking up, and I hate people who play favorites, and so that annoys me.
Also: if you are trying to get into intermediate/advanced, please please state so when you post for an audition. Any mini-mods I have will talk to me about your image and we will all decide together if you should be in the group or not. Remember: if you do not get in to the group it is NOT because we hate you or think you are a terrible drawer! Do not get so upset and depressed :O You guys are all great drawers, and with a lot of effort ANY of you can make it into the advanced group. All you have to do is try!
