Lola smiled, lifting a hand in farewell to the human. She dove underwater and started swimming back home. It was rather late, and she knew that her grandparents would question her absence. She would have to explain that she had been watching the lanterns which was not a complete lie. She simply would not say who she had been watching them with.

Daniel heard the faint sound of splashing, and he turned his gaze to the dark area. Was it a fish or one of his own kind? He male crouched down, wanting to find the source of the noise. He had the gut feeling that it was one of his kind, but he wanted to make sure before he said anything stupid. "Is anyone there?" He called out, eyes scanning the shore's edge.

One raised an eyebrow at her. "Really? I like the name Fish, Fish. Just go back on the land." He said, seeing her out of breath.

"No." I say, with a mocking tone in my voice. I circle One, and literally pounce on his back like a cat in an attempt to attack him. I'm about to hop all the way onto his back when something very powerful wacks me in the stomach and knocks the wind out of me. I yelp in surprise and fury. "I'll... I'll be back...." I say as regain my breath. I turn and swim away.

I see Opal about to jump on One. I swing my tail around masterfully and powerfully, wacking her in the stomach before she can even get on him. I look at her as she is in shock. "Don't. You. Dare." I say with a deadly tone in my voice. I figure One will be frustrated because he 'could've handled that on his own' or whatever, but I felt the need to take action. I stare Opal down until she leaves.

Larkai blinked at him and blushed under his gaze. "R-Really? Like w-what?" She asked him softly. She hesitantly moved closer to him as a few cars came by.

Jason pulled open his back door and was instantly greeted by an excited Kai, who had most likely been either sleeping or watching them from the window. He couldn't help but feel bad for not bringing her with him, but the canine had always been freaked out by the lanterns. She would never step barking at them, with would sort of ruin the moment. Jay glanced behind him at the water, but Lola was already gone, or at least under the surface of the water. Gently pushing Kai to the side, he walked into the house and shut the door behind him.
