The Broken -- #15

Postby monochrome. » Fri Mar 20, 2015 11:55 am

I'm actually really in love with this girl so I'm gonna explain her design in case it confuses the owner... Her design was somewhat based on a smoke & mirrors concept, and I was listening to the song "Miss Nothing" by The Pretty Reckless. (Since I know there are religious people on CS, I would not advise listening to a few of this band's songs if you're religious, since their lyrics are sometimes controversial. Also, if you're offended by explicit / occasionally inappropriate lyrics, don't look TPR up XD However, "Miss Nothing" is definitely a pretty clean song and I think it's appropriate for most people. So, anyways, this lovely was inspired by Smoke & Mirrors and "Miss Nothing", although the design is fairly simple lol.... Hope I didn't ruin too much! :silent:

Precontest Rules:
You can begin with your first blog post. It can occur the day before you "adopt" your Guardian. It should set the stage, laying out your training location, trainer tone, and plans.

If your Guardian is not claimed by Sunday the 15th of March, your Guardian will be put up for readoption.

Please submit the below form to claim your Guardian.
Code: Select all
I'm claiming this Guardian!
Owner: AsH.eN
Name: {You may leave blank until the Guardian is revealed if you wish}
Gender: Female
Fears: The Dark
Past: This Guardian was found in a dark forest, her leg stuck in a bear trap. She survived, however, with minimal damage thanks to a rescue team. She has a severe fear of the dark and will panic if she's left alone in pitch black, often causing destruction to property. Make sure to leave on a night light!

General Rules:
You may keep your Guardian if you have a minimum of three blog posts for it by the end of the contest. Otherwise it will be put up for readoption.

You'll be added to the drawing on Saturday, after your Guardian is unwrapped. You may add objects and/or accessories to your Guardian (clip, bandanna, collar, etc.) but you may not edit the main lines in anyway major way.

Day 1
Guardian Fox Training Blog

Today I got the letter from the training agency. I get to train my own Guardian Fox! I've Been told this particular one was found in a trap, and has an immense fear of the dark. I hope the space I prepared for her is to her liking.
I will be rehabilitating her from her experience in the forest, And I'm hoping to see her warm up to me. I can't wait to see what color she is, as they couldn't give me much. All I heard was she has a fondness for music.
I will be meeting her in a couple days, I can't wait!

Blog Post #2
Guardian Fox Training Blog

Today I get to meet my new Guardian Fox! I am on my way now, and will continue once I see her.

I just net her today, and at first she seemed a little shy. She's beautiful, though, and I hope she knows that. When I met her at the center, I held out my hand to her, slowly. Eventually, she took to it and sniffed my hand. She looked scared still as she let me pet her. I told her I liked her mist, though I know she probably wasn't listening. She warmed up to me, But didn't want to leave my side. She didn't even want to be put down! I spoiled her a little bit
And held her. Her rehabilitation starts tomorrow, right now she just needs some love. I'm so happy to have met her. I

Blog Post #3
Day: 3
Guardian Fox Training Blog

Today I went to the center and my fox decided she wanted to be held again. Today was the first day of rehabilitation, and she looked like it was going well, after one day. But later, as I was playing with her, the power went out momentarily. It was only about a minute, but my hand and arm sure got the brunt of it. So I am typing with one hand, and not the dominant one at that. Once the power had come back on, she looked so frightened I couldn't leave her. After all, it's only been a couple of days.
The center's staff told me that she herself has nightmares, when she's alone. Even thugh I just got out of the emergencyroom, and i'm being driven home, she still needs someone to sleep by, so I offered to do it. They seemed wary of letting her come home, but I bring her home tomorrow. When I left, she was still trembling. I hope they don't leave her in adark room all night, she might hurt herself on accident!

Until Tomorrow.

Blog post 3
Day: 10
Guardian Fox Training Blog

Her name is August. I was watching the movie "August Rush", and every time they called August, she perked up. So I call her August.
Over the past week, I have been trying to get her used to dim lights. I'm not going for darkness yet because the dim lights are still freaking her out. I do it randomly, but she's gotten used to me doing it slowly so I do it quickly. She still freaks out, so I gave her a chewtoy, which she carried around everywhere now. I haven't had to give her another one yet, so I think she's getting better.
Today I found out I'm getting another Fox, though, and he might scare her. His name is Allev, an he has black mist. I'll have to see how they get along. As long as she's with me, August doesn't have nightmares. With Allev, she might get them again. Well, I hope she likes him, I'm picking him up tomorrow, they'll both live at my house.

Until next time,

Blog post 4
Day: 25
Guardian Fox Training Blog

Though it was infected the past week or so, my hand is fairly healed by now. August checks up on it every hour or so, then runs off to go play. I'm writing today that Allev and August get along just fine, probably better than either want to. Both sleep next to me at night, feeding off of me and each other. August balances Allev out, so my dreams are not her unpleasant nor comprehensable, as they still leave me slightly frazzled when I wake up.

Allev seems to help the training along. August has gotten used to dim lights, though total darkness still freaks her out. I've taught her to use the chewtoys she has instead of the furniture or Allev, but she still knocks things over on occasion. When we're all asleep, she is fine as long as she's touching me and knows I'm there. Allev has convinced her to stay in a dark room before, but I don't know if that was a one-time thing or not. She's certainly taken to some of his habits, like trying to scare me. But at least she's social.

That's it for now,
