Dear Hawk,
I am trying to forget about Fang but it is just so hard! At lunch, I don't see him anymore. With the Christmas Party dance thing coming up, I'm kind of worried I'd be a loner.
When I prepared everything for my classes, I just kept on looking out the window. I can't help it. I got the feeling I was being followed, being spied on. Perhaps it was my imagination, but I once saw a dark shadow flit past the window. Maybe it was a bird.
After my morning classes, it was lunch. I took out my lunch and sat down at the normal table. I looked up and saw Snowy sorting another dog. Why are there so many new students?
Here's a picture of Snowy if you forgot her (I suppose books can forget, though how am I supposed to know?)

And the new student:

Snowy: Hello, I'm Snowy, the best Popular around here. Name and interests?
???: I'm Xavier, and I enjoy sports, video games, and of course tinkering with.... stuff. Oh yeah, and meet Jay.
Snowy: You're in the jocks, but can you get your bird to stop glaring at me? And would you like to go to the dance with me?
Xavier: What dance, bro? Ah, never mind.
Snowy: Never mind what? Don't you want to go out with the most fashionable dog in Furford?
Xavier: The
most fashionable dog? You're pretty fashionable, with the oversized butterfly wings and white nose.
Snowy: WHAT DO YOU MEAN, OVERSIZED BUTTERFLY WINGS AND WHITE NOSE?!
Xavier: Sorry for offending you, dude. Very sorry. Now, I must go.
That kind of made me laugh. Snowy the White-nosed dog. I didn't notice the colour of her nose before. While I was still watching, Jewel and Lilly sat down beside me. They seemed a little more relieved I had cooled down and such.

Me: Hi, guys.
Jewel: Are you feeling better?
Me: ..... Yeah, of course.
Lilly: That's great! Hey, should we invite the new kid to sit down with us?
Me: Who? Riptide?
Lilly: No, Riptide's busy with his jock friends and stuff. I mean him. *points to Xavier*
Me: Oh, him. I suppose so.
Jewel: I'll tell him. *walks off*
Me: He's a jock, right?
Lilly: Uh huh.
Me: Then why isn't he with the other jocks playing sport and stuff? He looks like he's trying to wreck his laptop.
Lilly: That's called tinkering.
Me: Whatever.
Jewel came back with Xavier, who was trying to bring his whole laptop and the stuff he pulled out of it without dropping it.
Me: Hello! Welcome to the Outcast table.
Xavier: Welcome to be here, bro. *dumps everything on the table*
Jewel: Whoa! Careful, Xavier.
Xavier: It's fine. *sweeps up everything to his side of the table*
Jewel: That's good. *starts reading*
Me: What exactly are you doing?
Jewel: Reading.
Me: No, I meant him. *nods at Xavier*
Xavier: Tinkering with my laptop. *pulls out a piece of metal and replaces it with another piece of metal*
Lilly: Are you sure that's safe?
Xavier: Yeah.
Me: ..... *laptop suddenly turns on to show an image of a bomb*
Xavier: Whoa, dude, that was not supposed to happen. *rips piece of metal out of laptop*
While Xavier was trying to fix his laptop, Lilly started talking about some of her amazing, wild experiences.
Lilly: Hey, Skyler, have you tried skydiving? It's so cool! It's like flying down, then spreading out a parachute for wings....
Me: I haven't tried skydiving, but I definitely tried flying. I've got wings. *spreads wings*
Lilly: Oh yeah, right! Have you tried swordfighting? *pulls out sword*
Me: No, but I have a sword. I've always wanted to try it, and I think there's a lesson here all about it. Cool sword, anyways. Mine looks exactly the same. *pulls out sword*
While we chatted, I just couldn't help to have this feeling that I was being watched. I suddenly got up and told everyone I was going to my locker to get something. I left, holding everything I had, and ran to my locker. The hallways were empty. Suddenly I heard a voice - it seemed to be screaming "Help! Help me!" and it seemed to be in one of those rooms that said - "
KEEP OUT" in big red letters. So naturally, I got curious and I wondered if someone
really needed my help, and went in.
When I opened the door, I stepped inside and accidentally closed it. But what really took my attention was the recorder thing sitting in the middle of the room. I was so surprised, and I got even more surprised when the air vent thing fell out of the wall and a familiar dog slipped out.

Me: FANG?!
Fang: Skyler! I have to tell you - this is a trap!
Me: What?
Fang: Snowy got the jocks to kidnap you. I heard them talking about you and I knew I needed to know more. I had to protect you.... even if it meant breaking our trust. I had to prove myself for the jocks and the populars, so I had to answer yes to Snowy's request to dance. Come on, Sky, get out of here!
I was so shocked, and I felt as if I couldn't move. Suddenly,
another dog came out of the hole in the wall. I wonder how big are those air vent things.

???: Why, hello, Outcast girl. And you, too, Fang.
Fang: Flame! What are you doing here!
Flame: Well, you were supposed to distract her. A loyal follower of those Outcasts to the end. I almost thought you actually wanted to have revenge of the girl and join the jocks.
Fang: ..... I may have been lying to you about having revenge on Skyler, but you're right. I'm a loyal follower to the Outcasts and Skyler to the end.
Flame: Well, well, then. I suppose I have to kidnap you, too.
Me: NO! If it's me you want, then leave him alone. Run, Fang!
Fang: I - I -
Me: My orders! Go!
Fang: Yes, Sky. *runs out the door*
Flame: Brave, but foolish. Get her!
I tried to run out the doorway after Fang, but suddenly another jock stepped out, blocking my way.

???: Well, Flame, what are you waiting for? Knock her out with the powder.
Flame: Yes, Hail!
Me: Hey, what in the hawk -
Flame threw the powder at me. The last thing I remembered before I blacked out was my paw slapping his face. I felt a little satisfaction about that before I actually couldn't feel anything.
I woke up in a cave. I could smell the scent of the forest and the damp cave. I groggily sat up. I think I was in a cave in the forest nearby school. I thought it was strictly forbidden for students to enter this forest without a teacher. I suppose the jocks love breaking rules. I looked around the cave. I had left all my weapons in my locker, and all I had was myself, my wings, you and my hoodie. Useless. The cave was blocked with a huge boulder which must have taken a lot of dogs to push. I got to my paws and found my wings were tied up. Okay, so I've only got myself, you and my hoodie. Even more useless. I can't reach my paw behind my back to untie it, and the ropes seem way too tight. I wonder if Fang is okay. Then it occurred to me that Xavier was in the jocks. Would he rescue me? Or was all that talking just a fake? Maybe no one except my kidnappers knew I was here.
I touched the boulder and tried to push it. No luck. I paced back and forth until my paws ached and still nothing. I wonder when will anyone help me. Now I'm sitting on the ground, writing in you, Hawk. I think it has been for a few minutes or a thousand hours I've been waiting for rescue. I'm bored.
Can you help me get out of here, Hawk? Never mind, you're just a book. You can't help me. I hope help with come - and
soon. Cause I'm bored. And I want to see if my friends are alright.
