Hey, i have a species fleshed out that i'd like to try and work on. i was hoping maybe someone could run them with me and help come up with some sort of story/history for them and species info etc.

I'm gonna choose to mainly focus on the anthros for these questions

Do you have any characters who you think would be great characters in their own movie?
Jasper's life would make a great romantic comedy.

How do you imagine your characters to interact? Are most of them friends, or would they dislike each other?
I can see them getting along fairly well but of course, there's always that one friend in a group that noooobody freaking likes. and that would be Asselin

Do you have any characters who are leaders? Who would probably take charge of everyone else if they were all stuck together for some reason? Would it be two characters competing over that title?
Ntwaidumela would probably take the lead since he's better with getting people to follow him and he's generally well liked. Asselin would probably try to lead too but Cassidy would probably tell him to shut up and sit down

Do you give your characters realistic backstories for their species? (Like a dog being adopted from a shelter and living happily with its owner), Or do you exaggerate, or generally give them humanoid backgrounds?
well, being Anthros...i give them humanoid backgrounds.

Do you have dream characters? Do you like them just based on their design,or what their current owner has done with them?
I have a ton. most i like for the design but some i like because of how their owner takes care of them. those are the few that even if i could afford them, i wouldn't buy them just because i know they wouldn't be as great in my hands.

Eh, not really. if there was a character i wanted to get but didn't, it was probably because i was broke at the time anyways

Im gonna use Ntwaidumela (the character in my signature) because i am currently obsessed.

Was this character inspired by anything? A friend of yours, an actor, another character? Not just design-but their personality too
He was pretty much inspired by my family and culture in general. all these people ever want to do is dance and party. He also has this thing with percussion instruments specifically tambourines and congas since no matter which family member it is, they have one in their house. Same with dominoes because no party is complete without dominoes.

How big or small is this character? Are they average sized for their species?
He's pretty tall at 6'2"

How often does this character bathe? Are they a bit of a slob?
He take 3 hour showers twice a day. he spends 1/4 of his day in the shower. wow. he likes to look pretty and smell nice. plus he does most of his serious thinking in there.

Does this character have any 'weird'-but-useless skills or tricks?
He can mimic sounds and the voices of others. it's not completely useless but he really only uses it to mock others sooo...

Does this character believe in monsters?
To an extent, yes. not necessarily monster monsters. more like monsters within one's heart. like greed.

How about aliens?
Pfft no.

If they were to meet one of the two, would they try to be friends? Attack it? run away?
well he doesn't believe in aliens or "monsters" but if he met one, he'd probably try to get it to dance with him or son dumb junk like that.

How does this character say goodbye?
usually in a little sing song voice unless he's upset. then he'd say it normally.

it also has a huge wrinkle/bump in the plastic cover and it makes it so difficult to draw, and it's not something i can replace or remove :c

Uhh... I guess most of them would get along? I have a lot of jerks though.

Winter, Tabansi, Pyralis, and Gyles would all the compete over the title. Herbst would want to be leader, but not want to compete over it.

Nope, not at all.

He's a bit big for an African Wild Dog, but not as large as his father, Pyralis.

How often does this character bathe? Are they a bit of a slob?
He bathes a lot or rather, gets himself wet a lot. He needs to in order to survive.
Leviathan's not really a slob? He eats pretty messily though.

Does this character have any 'weird'-but-useless skills or tricks?
None that I can think of? I suppose the skills he can do with his tentacles are weird, but they are useful as he uses them to help him grab things, eat, hunt, etc.

...He can be considered a monster.

Yeah? I mean, he's an African Wild Dog/octopus thing. Anything is possible.

So, to try and get over my horrendous, year long art block...I'm going to "open" commissions. They aren't going to be first come, first serve though. I'm going to wait until I get a number of requests and then choose which ones I want to do or think I'll be capable of doing. Because if a character looks like fun to draw, I'm going to be more inclined to draw it. So please don't be angry or disappointed if you don't get picked. I'm probably only going to do 3 or 4 drawings over the course of this week. I will let people know if I've chosen to do their character so they can send payment. I'm only taking deviantart points right now.

Most are friends,some hate each other,some want others dead,some hurt others,it's just a big messed up circle of things.

Well my skitty character Magnet IS a leader of an exploration team,but her attitude isn't really "leader-like".If anything,Electrike is more of the leader in her team,since he keeps everyone and thing in order.

She was from a crackship breedable with two OC's of mine(which in reality hate each other pfftt).Her personality kinda just came to me.She looked like a sweet,yet biopolar little psycho so I made her one

She's a wolf,and she goes by human years and is about 16 or 17 sooooo she's shorter than a full grown wolf

She bathe's when she needs to.She tends to forget a lot and her friend Lupin has to remind her

She's really good at tossing knifes around and not hurting anyone with them.Unless she wants to hurt them.Then she's gonna hurt them.
