Finny bit her lip and nodded before speaking. "Yeah. Yeah, that would be nice. Besides, I need to fix my gloves. They're still sparking."

Jace got back to his feet and frowned. "What the heck did I do?" he questioned his partner with a bit of anger in his voice. Jae shrugged his shoulders and threw the ball back at Jace, but this time, he caught it. "Could you answer me?" Jace asserted, throwing the ball right back with force. Jae caught it easily but before he could return it he paused. His heart-rate sped up and he breathed in deeply. That scent. The scent of blood. Jace raised an eyebrow and cocked his head to the side "Hey. what's wrong with you?"

Clara Grainger
Clara nodded. "Alright." Trying to act confident, she strode up to Ms.___ nervously. "Uh, excuse me, Finny, my partner... she's not, um, feeling well. Can she be excused from class?" The teacher smiled absentmindedly and Clara took this as a yes. She went back to Finny. "Okay, we're in the clear... I think." Teachers tended to ignore or forget about quiet, shy Clara, and this often worked to her advantage. "Do you need help walking?"

While Clara was talking, Finny had grabbed her gloves and jammed them into her pockets. Putting them on would have only delivered faint electric shocks into her wounds, which wouldn't help at all. "Yeah, I can walk. It's not too bad this time." Finny glanced around while she was speaking in a nervous manner.

Jace Parker; 16; gym; Jae
"Hey." Jace repeated, stepping closer to Jae "you ok?" Jae's eyes widened as he heard his heart beating in his ears. The smell of blood was weak, but it was enough to spark Jae's cravings. It was odd though. He had just taken his medication, but his hungry was peaked so easily. "Jae?" Jace asked, stepping even closer. Jae didn't answer. He suddenly darted over to his bag on the bench, pushing through students as he went. His hands were shaking as he searched for his container of pills, ignoring the few students who had turned their attention to him. "Jae?!" Jace called over to him, suddenly feeling a bit worried and completely confused. Jae made a small noise when he found his container and he hurriedly popped one of the pills into his mouth.

Clara Grainger
As Clara walked out of the gymnasium, she saw Jace and another boy making a commotion. Clara narrowed her eyes but didn't pay them any mind. When Clara and Finny were out in the hall, Clara asked, "So... what do you call your... power?"

Finny glanced over at Jace and Jae, her face settling into a worried expression. As soon as the two girls left into the hall, Finny relaxed slightly. "I..I always just called it physicks. It developed when I was about 5 and a half, so I didn't know how to spell the word, though I had a relative grasp about what it meant. P-h-i-s-i-c-k-s."

Clara nodded slowly. "Physicks. Okay." Clara stared at her palm again; the spot in the middle was still just a light grey as it was only drizzling outside. "I can do... weather stuff. Like, I can control storms. And I know if there's a storm nearby. It's not the most useful power, if you don't mind getting wet. It's also kind of physically draining." Clara smiled grimly. "But the weather reacts to my emotions now, and it's harder to control that part. Do you get that too? Where you can't control it, really?"

She smiled lightly as Clara talked, fiddling with her hands. "Yeah, I get that feeling. That time in the coffee shop, when my cup started rocking. I did that accidentally."

Jae swallowed the pill and sat down onto the bench, attempting to gain control. The effects of the medication were working slowly. Too slowly. Jace cautiously jogged over to his partner and stopped in front of him. "What happened?" he questioned him, trying to get a good look at the boy's face. "Nothing." Jae finally answered back and covered his face with his hands. He took deep breaths and leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. "A-are you feeling sick?" Jace insisted on asking him another question. He then crouched down, looking up at Jae's covered face. "I SAID IT WAS NOTHING!" Jae growled, shoving Jace backwards with power. Jace fell back onto the floor, hitting his head hard with a loud bang, instigating a wince of pain from the boy's lips. The students that witnessed the scene were shocked. Their eyes were wide and some gasped.
